    I would say you want at least 2 keepers at any club who wants to be challenging at the top of the table, most players who are not afraid of losing their place in the team and the extra money that comes with it tends to become somewhat complacent, recent example at City Steve Phillips soon as we signed a keeper to challenge his position he was off like a scalded cat.

    Agreed. But if Castanheira is good, he'll push the number one to better and consistent performances. He is only 17 but already 6ft 2inches. Possibly still growing upwards.

    We also need to remember our ultimate aim. We want to be back in the Championship this time next year, so we need to sign players that can transition from a successful spell in League 1 to a successful finish in the Championship a year later.

    Flinders could be a good shout, but he'd need to be cheap. I also wouldn't want to sign a player for a single season.
