ST's fear of Glasgow. Explains why he's never at CP "oh tarquin, this place is awful, listen to the way they speak!"
I go to Glasgow all the time for meetings, gigs etc. I actually quite like Glasgow. It's just wee *****s like you who spoil the place.
Without going into the argument about which is the ****tiest, I,ve worked in every major town and every city in Scotland and without doubt Glasgow is the most open and friendly. It's far easier to start a conversation with a stranger in Glasgow than anywhere else ( I don't mean " gie's yer wallet or yer gettin chibbed ") and I stay next to Possilpark - friendliest junkies in the world.
I dont mind you calling me bigbaws, billy I take offence to. Anyway, my flippancy aside, Glasgow is a ****ehole inabited by a substantial cohort of dependant, inept, inarticulate, incapable adults.... with children.... these are "parents" who have not advanced - in intellectual or emotional terms beyond early adolescence themselves . This state of affairs is supported and encouraged by a set of social policies which can only advance the ever blossoming numbers of individuals who are - at their core - unable to contribute to the society in which they live and from which they take. And only take. The city will continue to cultivate this parasitic growth until it unavoidably devours itself. This is not to say that glasgow is markedly different from any other major u.k conurbation, merely that - in this respect - it is currently ahead of the game.
I agree with being the friendliest except when they are trying to chib you and stab you and rob you. It is still one monumental ****ehole that reeks of pish and early death though. And that's coming from someone who actually loves Glasgow.
If you go to a few estates in inner London I reckon you'd have to admit that Glasgow has got some very strong competition.
Not read op or the thread... However, biggest ****houses in Scotland is Dundee, followed by Ayr, then Kilmarnock...
