This is probably true, but ROI, Scotland, and Wales are probably better than some of the extra 8 teams that would qualify for this tournament over previous tournaments
And how did they encourage it? You would effectively be rewarding Wales with a spot for having the Millenium stadium.
It's got to be used for some football events. It's not as if it gets used a lot at the moment, and when Wales play, it's not exactly full
'But it appears that European football's governing body itself encouraged the joint bid from the Celtic nations, while Georgia have also now declared' http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18069127 Cardiff Citys ground currently holds 27k and with 8 years I'm sure it could be upgraded. Swanseas is over 20k and could also, if needed increase it.
Nobody pulled me up on it. I was very very very pished that day. I thought it might have occured to someone that the Ulster quarters wouldn't be in Tipp
Cardiff and Swansea will upgrade, if they have a future in the PL which Swansea do atm, not sure about Cardiff getting there though
Occasionally I think. But they do use those stadia. What's the point in having a nice shiny national stadium if you're not going to use it?!
Plus you basically described half the GAA grounds. Could have been any one of them like Casement Park or Omagh for instance.
