Nothing glorious about that. Royally pumped by the Nigel select.

Scott Brown normally looks quite big compared to other Jocks in the **** Pub League but he looked like a wee boy compared to Milner and dare I say it, ****shere.

Wee Anya didn't get a look in vs the Nige RB and Morrison should've started.

Oh well, just as well we voted no, look at the state of us when we try to take on the English, make a total **** of ourselves.

Got to cringe every time you hear "Shower of Scotland".

Absolutely shambolic song, especially in light of the recent No mandate.

Then, you've got the inbred teuchtar's and plastic Paddy's booing "Rule Britannia", a song penned by a Jock FFS!

The Scotch people are very immature and almost backwards.

Oh well, who wants a game of tig before I go back to bed with my sister?

I think a lot of people underestimated England. We're not actually that bad. Nowhere near the top table, but we have some decent players and were unlucky with the group we got at the WC.

England underestimated England, and our media bummed up our side because we've had a decent wee run.

Then when England qualify for the Euro's, our media will moan about how the English are full of themselves etc, even though we are just as guilty as anyone for doing so.

Scotland played poorly last night. If passing the ball to the opposition was the object of the game we'd be world champions. The problem with England is the team is full of players playing for big clubs on high wages. Other countries, like Germany and Spain, have players playing for big clubs on high wages. The difference is they actually win things.

England? Underachieving ****s or overpaid pansies?

To be fair, Scotland didn’t look that bad.

The English arrogance thing is the biggest load of ****e in football. I can't remember the last time I spoke to an Englishman who was anything but negative about our fortunes.

The common concensus - tabloids and Jamie Redknapp and his ilk aside - is that we're a bit rubbish. We have been for a long time and probably will continue to be so for years. The only difference these days is that we're a little easier on the eye.

England should've won more things, they suffer from the FA hiring managers who aren't good enough.

When they had the 'Golden Generation', Semen, Terry, Cole, Neville, Ferdinand, Beckham, Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Crouch, Owen, these guys were world class and definitely underachieved. Then they persevere with Sven who had 1 brilliant result even though you can see that they were struggling, then McLaren whose CV basically read Fergie's assistant and got Middlesborough relegated. Cappello's track record was immense but he never managed an International side and he failed miserably. Woy again has had a long distinguished career managing some great clubs and crucially, he's done the international sides too but in the WC, England were woeful and you could see that they lack belief.

The England team is full of high-earning players for purely economic reasons. As the most popular league in the world, there is a lot of money in the game. Unsurprisingly, the players expect a substantial slice of the pie. Hence they are very rich men. The wages they earn are not indicative of their ability, but are dictated by the financial contribution they make.

If players weren't getting huge salaries, the money would go somewhere else, and I'd prefer they get it rather than a glorified Russian gangster or spoilt Arabian playboy.

The 1990 side was better imo.

Bobby Robson as coach, Shilts, Gaz Stevens, Butch, Adam, Pearce, Trev Steven, Gazza, Platt, Barnes, Linekar, Beardsley. Subs like Hoddle, Waddle, Hurlock et al.

Arguably, they should've horsed the Krauts then dished out retribution to the Argies but 2 missed pens ****ed them

Unfortunately all the best players in the most popular league in the world aren't English.

    It was pretty decent tbf.

In the mid to late 2000s, English clubs were dominating Europe, with the likes of Campbell, Terry, Ferdinand, Brown, A & J Cole, Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, Carrick, Hargreaves and Rooney going toe-to-toe with the likes of Barcelona, Milan, Inter, Bayern etc. The Champions League final in 2008 featured ten Englishmen in the starting 22.

**** knows how no manager was able to take advantage.
