We can't but 2 recently departed players can.

Gestede scored to win the game for Blackburn most of us will have spotted but Kiss scoring 2 on his Ross County debut? How many of us would have had a bet on that?

Velikonja to go on loan to Wrexham and score a hat trick?
 
We scored plenty of goals in the championship, lower level football is like that.

Here 3 points is like gold and goals worth even more. look down from the few scoring heavily in this league and a lot of strikers are struggling to get to double figures.

Of course playing in our own half for most of games has not exactly helped that is about to change.

I know jck, I was just providing a little irony. Being a City fan for about 45 years gives me all the qualifications I need for that.

Mind you we spent a lot of the first half Saturday passing around our own half. The real changes started when Bellers and Eikrem came on.
 
Blue I am with you on the number of years i`ve supported the team, actually a few more than you.

I`m glad for those players to get a chance to play and score.

We will never know how good Velikonja could have been, the way he was treated by Malky was a disgrace the boys confidence must be shot to threads. DJ got it in the neck re Matthews but at least he had some games.
 
Blue all my younger family members certainly do not think that of me, where I can seem a little too sure of myself on here and when I talk usually I do it with a wry smile.

This is fun, here we are in the premiership playing two top teams in the next few games...it does not get any better than this.

God we are so lucky to see these days...

It will have seemed such a waste to have got here and then to lose it all again.

The disagree was that he was bought in the first place. Malky didn't even want to buy him, Dai. VT insisted he was bought; but I suppose if you were in Malky's shoes you'd have done as you were told and played him. I suppose you'd have told your players to shoot more from half way as well, just like our glorious leader wanted.

Glam,this is another myth circulated by those against Tan , I don't know why it is, but this one still does the rounds regardless of definite proof to the contrary.
A Malky signing through and through, been tracking as far back as his Watford days.
But like other things, if it doesn't suit make up another story (I am not saying thats what you have done, as I'm sure you missed the link I put below when it came out).

We can always say this is a made up story that Tan circulated to offset the FACT that it was Tan himself that bought Velikonja.
The quote from malky is obviously misleading, a red herring if you will.

That should settle ok with the Tan out brigade
 
I get the feeling that when the window closes, and players are in , goals will be more abundan . Hugely important that Cardiff stay up then you'll stay up for at least a few years , going straight back to the championship would be catastropic .

If you want to keep living in your own world so be it, the rest of us will look at both sides and then decide.
 
Strikers are a premium at this level, and then your not guaranteed goals, look at Torres, how long did his goal drought last? We took the best Championship striker with us when we came up, but Graham still only managed 15 goals in our first season, compared to his 38 in the Championship with Watford?




It's a tough nut to crack for sure, Martinez looked at young up and coming youngsters in South America when he was desperate at Wigan?

I watched the Football League show on saturday night and most of the goals scored would not have been scored in the PL.
