That doesn`t seem to have been the idea it`s just that an offer`s come in. Doesn`t seem to have been actively marketed. That`s what it looks like to me anyway. Might be totally wrong of course.
It still looks a bit random if we sell? Why buy him to let him go for the same money? What was the point? Of course Gus may having looked at him thought oops!
Normally I would agree with that but it`s beginning to look to me like it`s more focussed than it has been for a few years. We`ve had Bruces scattergun approach. deFanti (was it 14?) signings. MONs probably best forgotten. I know we`ve only had 2 up to now but both have been for specific positions. Seems to me a lot more thought going into it.
Really hope this happens, Fabio was brilliant last year and i do think he would come to us, Just persuading brenden to let go of him. Scocco im not sure about, i hope that he will come good next year, but if he left and it meant we got borini, then i wouldnt be too disappointed. Borini would be my top target this summer IMO
and we've already let arguably our best panacalty taker go in the shape of gardner (best penner taker i've seen in a red & white top) borrini is also **** hot
I'd keep Scocco Said yesterday I reckon Borini will be a Sunderland player next season, and I've grown in confidence since!
Massive show of intent getting Borini. That would sell season tickets and possibly help other good quality signings to come in. Might go and knock one out hoping its true.
Would be absolutely buzzing if Borini signed on a permanent. The lad is already a legend in my eyes, just think what status he could achieve if he furthers his career with us. As for penalties, Jordi Gomez is by all accounts a very reliable penalty taker! He's scored some high-pressure ones for Wigan over the last few years.

I doubt Borini would've signed for any of our previous managers, Reid perhaps. Poyet is a modern manager with the right mix of passion and science, players can see that he has a plan and wants to play a good style of football. Short seems to have realised that the supporters deserve better than book keeping and scraping survival, This may be the chance we've been waiting for.
