Didn't know about this but now it makes sense. I've literally just got in from driving down the M6 and it suddenly appeared big and bold, and seemed to be very low.

My daughter was with me and freaked both of us out. She was taking pics and videos of it. Will post a couple if I can.

Defo wasn't blue!

At one point it looked proper big, like ET and the flying bikes big.

But she wasn't quick enough to get that. Will have words later.

 

I think it's called so because the full moon appears twice in the same month of August, once at the beginning then at the end, once in a blue moon.
