Unfortunately that solves nothing other than to create a double tragedy from his accident. What a shame.
My first response was that it may be guilt. But he didn't need to do that to himself, under any circumstance.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-29130742 Schuey's gone home, but what does that really mean? If his wife has spent a reputed £30m on a clinic at their house, it probably doesn't answer the question everyone really wants to know - how is he?
Long journey ahead IMO. I want to believe he is chatting to people and aware of his surroundings, but it tears my heart that it is more likely none of that is happening.
sounds very promising: And talking of Mick, he is doing very well in the junior categories. Will we see a schumacher back in F1 in the future?
I still find that depressing. I was never a fan but had great respect for his skills - a true racer. He's obviously getting the best treatment money can buy but now we know he is still immobile and unable to speak. Still at least the hope is there, but put alongside last weekends tragedy it's not a good time for f1 fans. Infact I'm finding that my mind is pre occupied with negative images and wondering how this weekends race is going to feel. Think we all could do with some better news.
He is not that strong and you may find that you will struggle to find a lot of his results because he normally races under another name. My son was at one of the big karting events (he was racing in another formula) and Mick didn't do very well to say the least - In fact he went home on the Friday of a 4 day event. Anyway, that's not say he isn't very good, because at this level they are all very good - even the ones that finish last. He has been in the press slightly more of late, but whether that's down to his results/ability or because of his circumstances I don't know. Edit: Just re read my post and it comes across slightly negative, he is a very good driver but at that level they are all exceptional talents, and the budgets are massive - higher than a lot of single seater budgets. As we see in F1 it takes good fortune aswell as talent to succeed.
I can't stand the man, but you've got to say Jean Todt has had a pretty unfortunate year - both his former champion and his son's current protégé ending up in hospital in a critical state. The fact he finally has some good news for us on the former is a welcome relief.
by the way. Apparently some of the Quotes were not correct. It turns out the 'Schumacher will live a normal life' part was actually a question from the interviewer. Seems Ive been duped again.
It's pretty desperate when a reporter would stoop to twisting, manipulative wordplay when reporting on someone who has been pretty seriously disabled. Equally sadly it doesn't surprise me.
Schumi update. He is waking up slowly. Apparently it was the mounting of his GoPro camera that caused the injury. Scary. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-waking-slowly-coma-reveals-teenage-son.html
Until his wife makes any official announcement, or Schuey is seen out in public at any point, I think everything that gets reported on cannot be believed.
I have to agree, but more importantly he and his family should be left in peace - as frustrating as that may be for his fans and the F1 community? #ForzaShuey
