How many of you we're educated in the surrounds of loftus rd. I went to Brackenbury Primary School and then Holland Park Comprehensive which was rough. Anyone go to Christopher Wren right by the ground or Ellerslie primary which was knocked down?

Alright pal, brought up on White City estate and went to Ellerslie primary, Chris Wren had closed by then. I then went to Cardinal Vaughan and...Holland Park <ok>

to be fair we think HP is rough but pheonix and burlington danes were on another level back then

Born Hammersmith Hospital, lived off the Askew Road, went to Victoria Junior School and then Christopher Wren.

went to christopher wren school & then moved to wembley & went to alperton, worst move should have stayed at wren, can't remeber name of primary too long ago.

I've always thought there was an incredibly large amount of primary schools in hammersmith and bush in terms of density, addison, brackenbury, greenside, larmenier, canberra, john pope, ellerslie (shut down) and womrholt park, john betts etc...

Trying to remember the name but my mum and cousins went to that school next door to hammersmith hospital. I was educated out in harrow

No just changed name it's now Phoenix secondary school.

Ohhhhh, I know Pheonix very well <laugh>

Pheonix got extremely rough in my lifetime, but then Atkinson came and turned it round, still 'dodgy' but does extremely well considering the situation its in, was listed as one of the top 8 schools in the most challenging positions...Burlington Danes not much better

But yes I had pals from Pheonix and most on the estate went there

1st post. Went to Old Oak (lived on Braybrook St) then Wren as lived on White City (Blaxland House). Moved to Rayners Lane at end of 1st year but still attended Wren until they asked me to leave at end of 1970.
