I actually don't hate him for this reason. Although saying "he left Leeds for Leicester" is basically lying. He wanted to stay at Leeds but Grayson didn't want him anymore, I don't know how many times you need to be told
Charles stop digging I forgot what I watched on the FLS show last week never mind 2 years ago Charles stop talking out your arse
Doubt it, he's a self-employed business man, which means like most self-employed business men, he works about 60 hours a week. I believe it's actually his secretary that types on here on his behalf.
Quote from Grayson at the time: Grayson said: ''We feel this is the right deal for the club. We spoke to Kasper's agent at the end of the season about a contract extension and it was apparent that it was going to be difficult to agree a deal. ''Given the fact he has one year remaining on his contract we feel this is in the best interests of Leeds United.'' Translated, it meant money-grabbing Bates wanted to cash in. Clearly you couldn't afford/refused to offer Kasper a deserved improved contract, but didn't want him to go for nothing one year later either. That's why you sold him despite winning player of the month in Aug 2010 for you and player of the FA Cup third Round in Jan 2011. Besides, What your board/manager/chairman does and what the fans want are sometimes different things. Few of us want Pearson to go the first time. But you don't have to hate a player just because a) they've left you and b) they have a connect to a rival. If I were a Leeds fan, I think I'd question any decisions made by Bates, and now Warnock too.
Ok, you are clearly very uneducated on the situation. He didn't deserve an "improved contract". It was rumoured he was on 15k a week and by far the highest payed player at the club at the time. Also, you have half the interview of what Grayson actually said, he went on to say: Also, here are some quotes from Kasper himself I am 100% confident had Kasper stayed at leeds, he woulda been on the bench behind Lonergan the following season
The comments from Grayson seems like trying to kill two birds with one stone. You've conceded tons of goals the previous season and you keeper is wanted by a more ambitious club who is offering him wages that you can no longer afford (as you said, he was probably one of your top paid players). Solution - lower the wage bill and blame all your defense woes on him, making the selling one of your best player players to a rival look like good business. Can't see any other reason you would say these things about an outgoing player, other than sheer unprofessionalism - people will say these things to save their own skin. Clever from Grayson, but only in the short team as it didn't help the defence and lead to him ultimately getting the chop. I know about Kasper's tweets and that doesn't surprise me. He's a loyal player and I think he was keen to show that he doesn't have the ill feelings towards your club that you all keep claiming he does.
omg, your not getting it. He wasn't one of our best players, we replaced him with a better keeper with ease. You haven't stopped to think that maybe he was at fault for tons of goals we conceded. It also says that we didn't offer him a contract as well, we were not bothered about keeping him, just because you think the sun shines out of his arse doesn't mean that leeds fans do/did. Maybe it was just good business to sell a player that wasn't that good but on huge wages to fund other players and a replacement I have no ill feelings about him leaving the club. And I do not have hatred towards him for being scum. I actually haven't claimed that he has ill feelings towards leeds at all. I actually respected the way he went about the situation in truth and didn't like the way that Grayson handled it. But it doesn't get away from the fact that he was a weak link in our team that we needed to strengthen
Leeds fans, we haven't heard a peep out of you for ages, now you're all over here like wet moss. Do you constantly check the Leicester board to see if there is a thread about Kasper that you can jump on? Is that the only real excuse you have to comment on this board? I guess it's not like you have much else to brag about at the moment. Though clinging on to the belief that your 'keeper is better than the one we now have is just becoming a bit tedious. To be honest, I couldn't give a f*ck if you had Joe Hart in goal. We still have the joint second best defence in the league at the moment, and I'm pretty happy with that.
Lads .. I think this is one where we are going to have to agree to disagree ... frankly, an impartial reader going through the posts above would find a great deal of merit in either view - in summary. Kasper was after a new and improved contract at Leeds, whilst already probably being the highest wage earner at the club. The financial position of the club and indeed his performances overall, did not, either in the Chairman's or Manager's view, warrant such an increase - a view obviously held by a good number of Leeds fans too. On the other side, you have an ambitious (owners) club with funds and a high-profile manager who has already seen something in Kasper whilst at Man City that is, for him, persuasive enough to convince the owners to buy-in. That may well be more from a potential perspective than what he had shown to date - but as has been shown goalkeepers seem to get better with age rather than peaking at the same time as outfield players. From a Leicester fan's perspective Kasper has come in and done a good job and IMHO IS getting better all the time - there have been a number of times whereI have questioned his judgement (e.g the Forest game at their place) but overall he has been excellent for us. Now 've been around long enough to have been a little spoiled by the quality of keepers at Leicester - was too young to see Gordon Banks first hand but I would rank the best of the rest, at this point, as follows; 1) Peter Shilton 2) Mark Wallington 3) Tiim Flowers 4) Kasey Keller 5) Kasper (but I think he has the potential to rival those above with the exception of Shilts)
I was around to see banks week in week out and what a keeper and shilton is was and will always be 2nd to banks. But I totally agree with you, in that if there is a team of fans that knows a good keeper then Leicester are that team...
The Daily Mail couldn't let this rumour pass http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...chmeichel-replace-Iker-Casillas.html?ITO=1490
To be honest the whole Kasper is **** thing from the Leeds fans is very boring. We had this last season. We dont agree in the slightest so move on
I know, something you can only dream of eh? You have the best 'keeper in the league, yet 12 out of the 24 teams have conceded less than you. Straaaaange.
The thing is Real Madrid will have to offer us something very good to get us to sell. I dont think money would interest the owners to much unless it was a very stupid offer of around 8M+ which I doubt Real will look to spend for a back up keeper Having played Real Madrid last season and sort of started a connection between the clubs maybe the owners would look to creating a partnership with Real Madrid to help promote the Leicester City and King Power brand. Maybe even sending us some loan players and allowing us to send them some academy players for a few weeks to train with them. If the interest is genuine then I think it could turn out to be a very good thing for the club as long as Real play ball
I think it is 'time to move on' as it is all starting to get a little bit 'my dad is bigger than yours etc' .. One thing is indisputable .. if there is any truth in the runour that Real Madrid are interested; and that is a big IF at this stage, then it will not be because Kasper was crap at Leeds, it will be because he was very good at Leicester ...
Pretty sure no leeds fans have claimed this.... Its not the fact that you guys say Kasper is amazing that bothers us (or more specifically me), its that you continually claim he is the best keeper in the league and link him with huge clubs that you think they actually are interested (oh and for exodus) he's a scummy twat
