Terry, Niall Quinn stepped in when this club was in the doldrums, he saved us by bringing in the drumaville consortium and then Ellis Short. If Quinn had never come back we'd be stuck with Bob Murray who could no longer finance the club, the club was on a downward spiral and wed have gone even further down that the second tier. If or when Quinn thinks he's out of his depth he'll hold his hands up and say so. He's one of the very few honourable men in football. I hope you apparent dislike for the man doesn't stem from the fact that he played for City and enjoyed scoring against United?
and Arsenal but how could you think he is biased Parker, time to get your head out of your arse lad and listen to Terry, he is a United fan so is superior in every way. Thank you for visiting our lowly board Terry and putting us right, we are not worthy.
Funny how you missed his point that every season we have finished higher up than the previous one? All recent managers prior to Bruce have had crap away records: keane had a good home record but was **** away, mccarthy was **** both home and away Bruce has a poor home record recently, but has finally got our away games sorted out - and he has managed to get us higher up in the league every season since he has taken charge. home and away counts, you are just looking at the home games not the overall season. Personally, i think Bruce's recent home record was caused by injuries and Bent ****ing off to villa, not by bruce himself. But only time will tell.
Sixth in the league away weren't we? Not that it matters. And there you have my point. A season can only be judged over 38 games. Not 4, Not home form, not away form. If anyone can prove to me that we haven't improved in each of the last three thirty eight game blocks, normally referred to as a season. I'll start shouting Bruce out. Till then...Bruce in.
Look if your happy thats fine. Its all about opinions. I think there is a lot wrong with Bruce the manager you dont. We will agree to disagree. you might ask yourself why all these players keep ****ing off though and in Gyan, Bent and Cana, they wanted to go after less than 12 months of being here? Is that just coincidence? Bad luck or can they see what we cant in Bruce on a day to day basis? As with Dans, you have your opinion and I my own. If you see the likes of Bent , Gyan, Cana and Jones ( I wasnt a fan but we keep selling strikers and not replacing them) all leaving the ship inside the last 13 months and see nothing wrong there fine. If you like watching us lose at home fine. If you like seeing the consecutive slumps form Jan to May. Fine again. Personally, I'd rather we acted now instead of waiting until the usual last 10 games fire fight and desperate rescue mission for survival. You may see progress and us climbing up the league. I see all the hallmarks of another relegation fight. I've seen the same symptoms too many times not to recognise them again.
Bent chased the buck. Gyan chased the buck. Cana was homesick. Jones was looking as interested as a **** in a brothel. It was time for him to go. I wasn't happy with any of the above leaving, bar Jones. I'm not sure what you think the club could do to keep them. Is Gyan worth paying 200 grand a week? Not for me.
If you think for one minute that quinn has any input into the team apart from doing the deals and working on a list that bruce has probably given him then i think it is you who has your head up the back end mate. I support bruce and hope he gets it turned around, but when you look at his team selections then even i begin to wonder!!
Think i'll go away and give my head a shake!!! Mental note to one self (Read second page before posting!!!!!!)
Well Syd. did anything new or worthwhile reading come out of that? seems like deja vu to me, just dressed up a little different. BILS BOBS AND BOFS.
