I said before the season started I would prefer to return to 4-4-2 and thought he would and his refusal to try something different is baffling. We saw with the SOD appointment that mid season changes at Bristol City do not work!

I don't get this thing with Moyles, yes he played for us (for 2 years only) he's not Bristolians and ever since he left I don't think he's mentioned us. What players has he ever loaned us from Preston, Everton or Man U to make people think he's got a love in with us to want to come to us?

Mate you mentioned Moyes as an option not me. "although David Moyes isn't doing anything maybe a quick phone call and we could get him in?" All I have said is that money can be a big influence on who will come.
 
Listened to SC on Twentyman and he's on the floor. Sounded like he just wanted a row with the reporter rather than answer what fans want to know. His attitude was pathetic - one of a spoilt child. Ffs grow some.
Nigel Pearson's horrible and he might be just we want - but can SL could persuade him ? Our lot need taking out of there comfort zone, there's no competition or if there is SC would rather keep a knackered 37 year old playing today rather than bring on fresh young legs. If we can offer £8million for strikers we can put together a package and incentive that would interest Pearson.
Cotterill's interview has done it for me. Ffs grow some.
He couldn't wait for an interview last season, this year he doesn't want to know - he's lucky to be in football management.
He couldn't hack any kind of management outside of the football bubble. Ffs grow some.

Umm no they won't... but you carry on believing that.

How do you know he won't want to come with the set up we have? You speak like you've got insider knowledge but I seriously doubt it.

One look at the bottom of the table- The bottom 5 have poor goal fifferences. The bottom 3 There should be no surprise that we find ourselves where we are- Despite all of the games where we have been unlucky, the better side, battered them etc, points at the end of the day make prizes not performances.

Would stick with SC as I cant think of a realistic alternative that could improve us, but our only hope is to win that mini league of 5 at the bottom.

Draws thrown away against MKD and Charlton, make me feel that we wont

I would agree with you, but I was there yesterday and could see Wilbraham was blowing out his arse 15-20 minutes from time like the Charlton game. The subs have to be used better to convince me that a good transfer window will sort it.
Going on the previous loanees three struggled to get onto the pitch, why have them if you are not going to use them? Christmas break is games in short space and the squad has to be used. IMO Cox should of started one of those games to take some work of Wilbraham and likewise a few others. We went one up front against Derby claiming it was resting Kodjia and Wilbraham for the QPR game. But against Burnley we don't go that approach so was the Derby game talking out of arse time?
I'm not on either side of the fence and I would not become like RR and post after post up. But to survive SC has to look at himself and hopefully he might go back to being ruthless in his selection like when he first came here.

And if someone is looking for someone to blame, I'm no police detective but I would seriously trust my instinct on the fact that whatever his name was the person in charge of finance who got the sack in September could be the person that didn't quite sanction some parts of the transfers etc. So maybe he's the problem and this has now been addressed.

SL v any of the others with money in the footballing business like the Tans or Venkys SL wins hands down all the time. Look at Portsmouth look and Bolton now and even Wigan just because they've been there they are now not looking to good are they.

They certainly are not looking good and it was close to some of them going out of business altogether. When I try and fathom out how football got in to this mess I come up with only one answer and that is money and more specifically foreign money. It's an age old problem in England in that most of the time the populace will sit back and when decisions need to be made to protect the traditions of their birth country they just go with the flow and say that despite the fact that they don't like what's happening they don't want to stand up and fight but rather just let it happen, or even worse just hope it goes away on it's own.

Decisions are made at Ashton Gate that would boggle the mind of Einstein but still I don't hear the roar of the crowd voicing their disapproval and demanding change which quite frankly is not a good idea because it would be a waste of precious air due to the fact that nobody is listening. We can stop harping on about the money previously spent because that is actually water under the bridge and wonder whether we will be able to afford the furniture for our newly renovated house.

Listening is understanding to those who just don't hear.
 
It's the last minute goals against that keeps recurring that makes me believe that SC doesn't have a clue about match tactics.
We have LOST seven points with last minute goals versus Ipswich, MK, Charlton, Reading. If we had those the picture would look completely different.

It is admirable to be loyal to last season's squad, but he appears to be blinkered about the same players making the same mistakes again and again.
Sadly it's time for a new regime.
