Here are some quotes from Benfica fans, doesn't sound so good now does he...

'Will most Benfiquista's agree that Saviola was **** this season? Where was the SaviGolo from last season? He just lacked that cutting edge from last season. I don't know if his legs caught up to him or what, but all I know is that I want him gone this season. The Saviola I saw this season was the one I slightly feared to see last season because of him not getting much playing time with Barce and Madrid. I just thank him for the season he gave us last season. Thank God we got replacements for him though'

    and

'Savi was our most disappointing player this year by far. Yes even more than Roberto. He had his frangos but he also had alot of great blocks.
Saviola was non-existent to put it lightly. We basically played with 10 men while he was on the pitch. His best days are past him and its time to move on.
He helped us win the Liga last year, which we should all thank him for...but its clearly time to move on. Maybe sell him back to River Plate where his career started.'

    and

'I would not mind that at all. Let Saviola go to QPR for $3.1Mill. He was great for us last season, but this season he was for the most part useless. Better to cash him off right now. Plus we have loads of replacements for him in Jara, Rodrigo, and Urreta'

was one of the most promising strikers in world football when he was younger but just didnt seem to hit his full potential.. though he'd still be a good signing for most PL clubs and he his finishing is.. lets say 'FAR' better than anyone on our current squad

Who is it who keeps saying 'young and hungry'. Roller is it? Totally agree.

But I keep saying this plus older fading stars as a recipe which has worked for this club loads of times in the past - and in our very best seasons in particular .

Some of us have been round long to remember the likes of Venables, McLintock, Hollins, Webb, Mancini, Currie etc. etc.. All were on the way down when they took the opportunity for a last stand at Loftus Road - and in most cases it proved a win-win for everyone and in every way - not least for us the fans to watch that hoops-wearing pheonix rise from the flames.

Saviola's had one poor season and under an inspirational man-manager like Sir Neil might well cruise after a decent jump-start.

There's nothing like a coupla three older heads to ripen the young and hungry imo.

Yeah the right older heads, not ones just after a last payday.

    It certainly is me!
I do occasionally temper it with one or two wise old heads! Can I add Wilkins, Trevor Francis, Peter Reid, Sammy Lee and Steve Hodge. I’m sure they all passed on good advice, even if their performances weren’t always top draw.

    However, young and hungry....
