I dont know why people think the prostects of the new owner count... he already turned down man citys owner and god knows who else... hes more likley to sell to gacp or a group that can barley scrape enough together , but that will let him keep his signs up... this is why he hates leaks..we wont know the choice he made and a few years in when we get relegated the media will be pushing the ashley did well up there narrative

I don't think any of the takeovers have been fake.

It's a nonsense narrative as we have conducted ourselves the exact same with or without any "fakeovers."

I believe all the takeovers attempts have been genuine, and until this current one breaks down I'll be disappointed. As far as I'm concerned fans are inventing deadlines and are disappointed that they're not being met.

Officially all we know is both parties are close to agreement and both parties are frustrated with leaks. The rest is purely speculation.

I blame the Chronicle tbh. They've got this live feed which is just pumping out utter ****e.

<laugh>

If Newcastle United was genuinely fabricating fake takeovers that would be bigger news than people actually having interest in Newcastle.

The media would be ALL OVER Newcastle if the club was actually fake newsing.

Once again, it's detached from reality and the ramblings of madmen to believe Ashley is just inventing it. If the bids fail cos he doesn't want to sell the club, whatever, but the bids are real.

It's like a fella walking up to you offering a few grand for your car,you tell him you'll think about it,tell a few people then nothing comes of it.

exactly.

the worst part is ashley benefits from their moronic beliefs all 4 parties are involved in faking it.. he can reject it more easily.

why cant they see its far more likely the previous groups didn't have the money or didnt meet ashleys requirements

this time is closer , but he will ask too much im one way or another

then theyll scream fakeover. deerrr

NUFC are privately owned - if there was no takeover, they could say "no takeover". If it was fake, the press would seize upon it. If it were made up, the likes of Caulkin, Waugh, Douglas, Downie, etc., wouldn't say it was real. They would emphatically say it wasn't. It's also interesting that Chronicle journalists have a more sceptical view than those who don't use the club for sources. I'd imagine those within the club know very, very little. I don't think Charnley will even know. Ashley will know, Barnes will know. Probably Bishop, to prepare statements to deal with the fallout.

Whether it's actually sold - probably not. I think it's the stickiest situation Ashley has been in - he has actual, willing buyers but doesn't want to sell. I'm not sure he thought he'd get to this point and is probably squirming a bit, hence the inactivity and lack of movement. His usual practice is to **** about until the buyers give up; but it's the Saudi's. Is he really going to be comfortable being an absolute twatbag?

on the contrary because the fans or the majority will roll with the fakeover notion

ashley can say nothing then after a month or two say something about how hes tired of time wasters... if they want it come and get it...

the fans are so stupid they actually create their own downfalls. they keep opening the door to this turd burglar.
