Is it my imagination or are Sauber the only team, so far, to mention that they have designed in flexibility to enable them to make swift changes. I guess by designing the flexibility in from the start they will save precious money and have a slightly compromised car. Again they seems to be talk of the Ferrari engine being less demanding in the cooling requirements. If I remember correctly water to air intercooling is more efficient at cooling the inlet air and more controllable but it is heavier. Can't wait for season to start.
The flexibility was something I noticed too. Presumably the top teams are more confident in their designs and have the budget for a big overhaul if needed, but it might stand them in good stead against some of the weaker teams on the grid. It's got to be detrimental in some areas, but hopefully it means if they realise they've gone in the wrong direction it'll be a cheaper fix, whilst perhaps other teams will be forced to stick with their concept all season. Hopefully once they're confident their approach is the right one, they can then remove that flexibility, giving them some time back.
Don't say we could see Esteban on the podium haha. The other teams look way too radical, but how do we know what radical is when we don't have a reference of normal.
Unless it's on the top, Sutil doesn't appear to have put a number on his helmet, which seems a rarity this year.
The sooner Gloria gets on the podium, the better, as far as I'm concerned. I hope he'll be beating his team mate at least; nothing against Sutil but he didn't seem in the race half the time last season. It would be good if he could pull his finger out this year. As for the car itself, well, it looks like a beauty, as others have said, but sponsors tend to muddy the looks so that may be the reason. Edit: Just saw the photos Manny posted and OMG, could Adrian look any more camp if he tried!
Camp or classy? To be fair, most F1 drivers are in touch with their feminine side. Webber was the last mans man. Back to Sutil in 2014, I think he always had potential to be on the podium. This may be his chance.
True, they're a more manicured lot than they were in Mansell's day, for example. But in that pic, Sutil looks like a ballet dancer in overalls; even Britney would balk at at that pose, I think. On second thoughts, Mansell's 'tache was pretty gay. I guess it's just a question of context
I think it's just the glamour of being in such a fine tuned sport.
Camp and glamour do traditionally go hand in hand. Maybe it was just a phase they were going through. Or maybe not. As long as they're happy.
Sutil is a rich boy, rich boys don't get laughed at for how they run in P.E lessons because they have private tutors that don't try to structure them into a stereotypical male. Anybody here would act like he did if they had the same upbringing.
Okay, that's not good. Surely these anteaters, spikes, forkes, whatever you want to call them, look like they coudl cause a nasty puncture in the side of a chassis if they hit side on, which surely is what these new low nose regulations were trying to avoid?
Thought I heard they were making the tyre walls thicker on the sidewall to compensate for that already ASC.
