Woeful attempted challenge from Johnson, huge dive from Ridgewell. Impossible for the ref. Exactly why there needs to be retrospective action.
 
Big week coming up for Sunderland now. Home to QPR (Harry's first official match) then away to Norwich.

Win both and suddenly they'll be sitting quite pretty. But lose both, and I can see their fans, the media and the bookies all looking very hard at O'Neill.

Hence partly why one side in third, and one side is 19th. (Although note the word 'partly' - this isn't obviously the main reason why!)

People can deny it all they want, but both luck and referees play a big part in football. And almost inevitably the sides higher up the table will benefit more than the sides below them - if you're getting lucky or refereeing decisions going in your favour every single week, then you're hardly likely to be sitting in the relegation zone.
