STH, I am a bit blinkered where this horse is concerned. He is/was for sale and I really liked him before he even ran. I suggested to Nass that we try to get a leg in him. He ran a race full of promise on his debut when very backward then last time out he was very unfortunate to have his saddle slip after only about a furlong. The rider had no control and Oscar Tanner ended up circling the field and making the running. He was still running a belter when challenged a furlong from home but the poor jock was unable to ride a finish for fear of falling off. On a scale of 1 to 10................I'd say 9.5
Lol, thanks stick 9.5 is confident enough for me, i'll def throw a few bob on anyway as I did fairly well with Down Ace that day thanks to you. Goodluck with your bets as alway's.
Not very original, as I know a few of you are thinking the same, but Shergars Shoo in today is SANCTUAIRE @ 4/1
Sorry SMP. No strong opinion on LDG but the horse was incapable of beating Calculated Risk getting a stone. Receives more weight today but would need to improve a good stone on top to win. Presumably Barry can't do 10 4? At the prices I'd be on Leo Luna. His form got a good boost with Gassin Golf at Punchy who should have won but messed up the last. If I could guarantee he was 100% ready after last Saturdays race I'd back him but can't so won't.
Good luck with Sanctuaire chaps. Wouldn't back him with forged money myself but as I'm not touching anything in that race I wish you all well.
Away We Go is shaping up to be a right royal gamble today it would seem. Does anyone have an opinion? I'm not backing in it I don't think.
Luck with all on Al Kazeem - Im siding with THOMAS CHIPPENDALe cant have al kazeem coming back from a long break trainer out of form and no value at 3/1
Had a "Virginia McKenna" e/w on Hold On Julio at 12/1 in the Whitbread. He's run twice at Sandown and been imperious on both occaisions so clearly likes the course, and Alan King has reached for the blinkers to (hopefully) sharpen up his jumping today. The yard couldn't be in better form and I'm expecting a massive run.
Morning everyone. 2-20.Ripon=Snow Trooper. 2-40.Sandown=Sanctuaire. 3-15.Sandown=Eagles Peak. 3-50.Sandown=Michel Le Bon. Lucky 15. Sanctuaire & Michel Le Bon (Double) Good luck to all.
Cant be having hold on julo either oddy! Jumping this season has been way to in cosistent also his attitude lto too was a bit of a concern i know the blinkers will prbly help but his jumping has not been up to scratch at all this season- as well away we go i have gone for a small e/w on Well Refreshed and put him in a e/w double with sire de grugy too
Not for me BB...i m not convinced in him...and not too excited over the jockey booking....so i ll stay clear.
Im thinking along the same lines oddy.. like the fact he seems to love sandown and the yard are in great form but i would be worried on the ground being too quick!
That is true captain but round here u need a jumping rythym there are some hard fencens and i just dont think he has shown his class yet thsi season but best of luck
