Nick Luck on RUK after the Tingle Creek:

"Well, well. What kind of ridiculous, unthinkable monster is this. Sprinter Sacre has strolled, nay glided to victory"

Even if you insist that Sanctuaire hasn't run up to his rating, Kumbeshwar (rated 143) has been beaten 15 lengths in a common canter. You couldn't even say "hands and heels" - Geraghty hasn't even twitched.

The possibilities of this horse beggar belief. Will they keep him at 2 miles for the next 4 years and mop up everything? Will they try and step him up in trip? His effortless style of travelling almost makes you think he could run all day.

Look at the times of the comparable races at Sandown today - Captain Conan (impressive in his own right) was slow by 19.4 seconds, Petit Robin (also impressive off top weight against well handicapped horses) was slow by 26.7 seconds. Sprinter Sacre in an exercise canter was slow by 13.3 secs against standard on soft ground.

I can't recall a more impressive 2 mile chaser in 30-odd years of watching racing. Quite simply incredible.

Captain Conan ought to be a Gold Cup runner one day. Jumps like a stag, built to carry weight, should stay. I think we will see him in the Hennessey next year.

Sprinter Sacre just amazing over fences.

Just had a word with Bob McCoubrey...friend of mine and owner of Slew Charm and The Mourne Seafood Bar.

28 covers cancelled because people are too scared to enter Belfast City Centre due to the sewer scum that populate parts of this city and "protest"...cowardly face covered disgusting pieces of filth.

I'm happy to say my wife's secondment is over here on the 31st Jan and we'll be emigating again...back to Esher...**** me never thought i'd ever be happy to say that..

it was a really super day's racing today. incredible race by sprinter sacre, got away better than even the prior hype suggested. brilliant to watch.

a great day for the twiston davies team, i'm pleased for sam, and great to see hello bud win the becher.

my notebook fell apart, almost all the places and winners weren't the ones i posted, as ever. i can't pick out the ones i was sure of unless i post the whole lot which would be too much. so back to my old way of choosing, not picking out ones to post, and my book should spring back to life like it used to be :emoticon-0107-sweat i work better in a vacuum sometimes i think.
