Agreed. Hot Snap suffered for her own inexperience but was not really knocked about as she stayed on for third. Given her family it will be interesting to see whether they step up to a mile and a half or whether they will go for something like the Sun Chariot at Newmarket; and whether they keep her in training.
Same old story every day this week at Goodwood: the front runners go off too fast and set the races up for the hold-up horses. This morning I fancied London Bridge for the 2:40 but it is a front runner so I left it alone. It was a non-runner but when the race was run, Mark Johnston’s two horses cut each other’s throats at the front end and set the race up for Hughes to wrap up the Top Jock title – at least some punters will be happier with the result than the bookies. Too much speed up front is presumably not a disadvantage in the bookies benefit, er, Stewards’ Cup...
You win, a handsome pair! Agree, can't wait for the NH season either, this Flat business is bloody difficult, to put it mildly.
Afternoon guys difficult to find winners today IMO so leaving well alone but has anyone else seen the X-rays of SNA's leg? 20 screws and 2 leg plates god that's some major surgery I can't remember any other horse getting something as massive as that but with the wealth of knowledge on not606 I'm sure someone can put me right! Happy punting today guys if you betting
I sometimes think he rides blind to be honest Brough. It may be that of all the courses Newmarket actually requires less riding than most others that he manages to get it right. It's all just opinions of course but I am not a great fan of his and feel he heightened his profile hugely due to his cheeky Derby victory and has actually not gone on from then. I think he just makes things difficult for himself needlessly sometimes, he is young still however and that has to be remembered.
Don't know if anyone has put this up yet but I like the look of awake my sole in the next at donny got 6s earlier ew
I'm on Hawkeyethenoo but really hope Tropics wins for Dean Ivory, my favorite trainer and a great trainer and guy who deserves all the luck in the world, honest bloke and always does wonderful things and gets the best out of his horses
I am winning nothing today at Goodwood so have turned my attentions to Doncaster 4.10 Lahaag 9-4 win bet
At every other course i would agree with you Blue, especially Ascot....he doesnt seem to have a clue around there, but at Newmarket for some reason he seems to get it right more often than not. As you say though, its all just opinions!
Looks like you needed a high draw at Goodwood! The winner was not friendless in the market but the places look decent enough for the bookies except for those that are paying on the fifth. Definitely time to give up on Glorious Goodwood 2013 looking at the remaining races...
Good old Rex, he deserved that after luckless run in the Wokingham. Nice bet landed too. Just Possol to come!
Following our new members tip for the 515 miilika very unexposed , pbew could be worth following our good friend smokey mentioned the favourite colonel mak who is opposable but could do the double it could be very intresting however after lots of study on a race I would have pushed aside I will have small ew stake on clear spring at 12s he looks strategically placed to return to winning ways good luck all who bet in this race it could be anyones
