Is Buick still stable jockey to Gosden? If so why does James Doyle ride the heavy favorite Kingman? Doyle is also good but thought the main man would have been onboard?

W.Buick is stable jockey to J.Gosden, however J.Doyle is retained jockey to the owner K.Abdullah.

My Tent Or Yours a lay for me. Giving away a minimum of 16lb to every runner in the field and its a huge ask to win this off a mark of 168. To put it into perspective, Hurricane Fly was rated 173 after winning his 2nd Champion Hurdle (granted he never had to run in a handicap).

I think Peter Niven's Clever Cookie at 12s looks a lovely each way bet.

I certainly wouldn't back My Tent Or Yours but I wouldn't want to bet against him either. He has a very good physique and running style and, provided it isn't testing, he might just have the class to pull it off. If he can, without too hard a race, I think it will prove that he could be as good a bet as any in next year's Champion, if he isn't sent chasing.

My Tent Or Yours should take all the beating in the 2.40 at Ayr wearing a first time hood. He should follow in the footsteps of Alderbrook who finished 2nd in the 1996 Champion Hurdle before winning the Scottish Champion. Each way value lies with Montbazon and Clever Cookie.

Night Of Thunder can overturn the favourite in the 2.55 at Newbury.

Can't have any complaints about Valdez. Probably over the top because that's not his true running. Jumped right the whole way. Eduard a deserved winner.

    Afternoon all <cheers>

Keen on Montbazon in the Scottish Champion Hurdle - his Cheltenham 3rd behind Lac Fontana looks rock solid and I think he'll run a massive race today. Archetypal e/w bet to nothing.

Everyone seems to have a cracking each way bet in this race. They can't all place though can they?

5 minutes to the start of the Scottish CH and Channel 4 are talking the Scottish National - no build-up whatsoever to an intriguing ScottishCH with MTOY giving the weight away

If I had to back something against My Tent it would be Cockney Sparrow ew at 12/1. 13lb better off for 3l beating (albeit and easy 3l) and hampered when beaten 4½L by Quevega on level terms. Fell when trying to keep up with Annie Power levels.
