Off to footy shortly so will have to watch replays later. Man In Black 1.55 Cheltenham - CARRUTHERS 12/1 (BOG) E.W Not sure what to make of this race from a punting point of view so I am going to be loyal and stick with one of my fav horses Carruthers. I have always loved his racing style and I feel like every time I back him I get a fair run for my money. There has been rain over night at Cheltenham which is sure to suit. I think he could get an easy lead here if that is what Noel Fehily wants to do and hopefully he can run a place at least. 2.35 Cheltenheam - POQUELIN 28/1 BOG (E.W) & QUANTATIVEEASING 25/1 (BOG) E.W Really I am hoping Mon Parrain can win this race as I would like to see him have a really good season. However at 5/1 I don't feel he offers much value and looking for some double figure value is often the best way to go in races like this. I like the look of Poquelin at the prices, may suggest he is here to ensure a lot of the field runs from out of the handicap but he is a useful horse in his own right and has a very capable 7lbs claimer on board today. He loves it around here (5 wins) and should relish the step back down to 2m4f this afternoon, for me he is simply overpriced. Another one that interests me is Quantativeeasing, this lightly raced 6yo has looked decent over fences so far finishing an excellent 2nd to Divers at the festival, he is open to more improvement than that rival and his run over 3m5f at Fairyhouse after that is easily ignored as he didn't appear to get home over that marathon trip. 12.25 Uttoxeter SILVER STIRRUP 8/1 (BOG) Nice pedigree and shaped with promise in two bumper starts 4 months apart, however giving how well supported he has been on both occasions it has to be said it is a little disappointing he wasn't able to win one. Giving his connections he is surely capable of better and looks an interesting recruit to hurdling starting off in a below average novices hurdle.
He's more likeley to be giving that Frankie cocccocolloz one than that Kitty, i bet he still has that little Joe locked up in his celler on the tyne
nope-dont think i do oddy---but if you whistle the 1st few bars---i think i will pick up the tune. on about reality shows--poor little willie carson in the jungle eh--no fkn beer crate to stand on the. i was going to have a bet on fatima whitbread---but she was found hiding in a pipe and killed when she was overthrown in libya. seriously tho--she could not enter australia---when stripped searched on arrival at the airport there--custom officers found 9inches of crack.
anyways--am off to planet beer now--nice to see yous again mr scott---one to beam up-------------------------------------------energise------------------
Quite fancy Whodunit in the first at Lingfield, I took 25/1 e/w earlier. Was having his first run in over a year when unseating his rider over this distance at Kempton at the beginning of the month, traveled well during the race only to be cut off by two horses either side coming of the bend. That run should have blown any cobwebs away. Had been racing of a mark 10 higher prior to his reappearance and is now 1 lower than his last winning mark over this CD. The horse is 2 from 4 over this CD, with one placed effort. I just think the price is to big.
A little accumulator for me today: Cheltenham 1.20 Hinterland 1.55 Chicago Grey 3.40 Cape Dutch Lingfield 2.15 Hunters Light Wetherby 2.55 Court Red Handed Keeps me entertained on a Saturday. Good luck to all today! Gem x
I've got an accumalator running that would win me over 400grand. Think I may of been slightly optimistic there...
Good performance from Hinterland - well done those who backed him. Good 2nd for Hollow Tree, looked well out of it 2 out but stayed on well for a nice bit of place money.
Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Unaccompanied in the Champion Hurdle come March - she ran a cracker in the Triumph and that was most impressive.
HUGH TAYLOR: At Lingfield, SILAAH looks a shade overpriced in the Listed race (2.50) given his excellent record on Polytrack. He has finished first or second on seven of his 11 career starts on the surface, and whilst 6f represents the outer limits of his stamina, he might be hard to peg back if kicked on at the home turn, even if he's likely to be gasping for breath in the final 50 yards. A large chunk of the market is taken up by two horses whose claims are based on turf form, and with several bookmakers going ¼ the odds a place Silaah looks overpriced from an each-way perspective given he has been unplaced on only 2 of his 11 Polytrack starts. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TOPCLASS: Lingfield 2.50- SILAAH 14/1 ew An excellent all-weather horse, with 15 top 3 finishes from 21 starts on the surface. His Lingfield record is exceptionally consistent, reading 2222. Run creditably throughout the summer in good handicaps but the winter campaign is where he comes into his own and return to his best. Looks a great price and might be difficult to pass if it can grab the lead coming round the home turn. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hugh Taylor copying my tips and reasoning again?
