I do apologise. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and it is now obvious that the drying ground and shorter trip were very much against him. He was still running a big race though when the third last seemed to appear from nowhere. Maguire sensibly eased him down after that. Dont write this horse off though, over 3miles and on soft ground he still has another 10lb of improvement in him, especially if they get his jumping right.
Most impressive winner worldwide yesterday had to be It's A Dundeel taking the Rosehill Guineas in Oz - check out the video here, he is 2nd last down the back straight (blue and gold colours) but comes flying round the outside on the final bend and sweeps to a majestic victory.
Absolutely brilliant stuff, I had a great day at Haydock due to these, so close to landing a monster payout.
