Fingal Bay jumped well but again looked a little 'below par' between them. Not too sold on the mega season people anticipate for him. Hinterland won nicely but we will know more in his next race- will that still be over hurdles? Dawn Approach won well enough in the end. Reckless Abandon hats off- I didnt think it would win but it did, again!
Toppy PN was saying that Hinterland was going chasing after his return, but he did say that before the race. Fingal Bay looked a bit like Peddlers Cross to me, I think he will be better over further but I think he is to be taken on. Just a shame that Poungach crumpled on landing at the first.
well no one took it up, but i managed it myself, so im going to gloat! the dividend payed £156.10 and i had 2 lines. it would of paid at least 2 times as much, and i would of had 4 lines if willie carson rode out a proper finish on lucky beggar and not let the fav, odooj get up for second. Also many thanks to all the winning tips on here today.
Until George in the bumper at Chepstow. Seems a little over-priced at 12/1 for a nice debtut win not withstanding penalty
Great stuff Hawkeye. One I ought tohave mentioned last night (bit late in the day) is Bridle Belle on soft going over 10f at York. Ought to be ideal and is very well handicapped on best form now agaist this opposition.
aye, 5 out of 6 for the master of glesga, admittedly I didnt post fulbright imagine it was stick or rv place would be meltdown with from all angles not that im looking for anything, I just post my opinion and anyone who knows me knows I dont care who agrees or disagrees and I dont sit on the fence, just an observation good day, well done to all the winners, and as always, if you didnt win today you ought to think about chucking it Mr Redvers Mill Reef form quote and Big Johns reaction possibly the highlight of the day
Boris I take you seriously as a tipster these days despite my initial doubt those months ago- so that says a lot about the shouts you have had. And cheers mate
When The Master of Glesga speaks, you listen and learn Dawn Approach still fav despiste the fact Bolger doubts his ability to stay 1m2, hes a miler and very unlikely he will run in the Derby, that Montridge is high in the pecking order with Hannons, behind only Toronado and Wentworth I think, and that race today represents the strongest early Derby form in my book. Bolger has been very clear beforehand that this is his Derby horse and this was only his 3rd run, he looked to be absolutely crying out for a trip today and he should be clear fav for the race for the time being. Mars has only won a dundalk maiden. Best price 16/1 now which still looks a reasonable price to me, he has already achieved infinitely more than that 2 miler Telescope who is the same price, I believe Bolger has the Racing Post in mind too, that race could be the decider in the winter Derby betting and I hope both Toronado and Trading Leather turn up. According to Bolger he has only started to come to himself in the last few weeks and he has no doubts about the 1m4f.
Toronado will be the best Hannon hope in the Guineas IMO Boris Dawn Approach has seriously impressed me but I agree- 1 mile 2f TOPS. Has inherited his sires attitude for sure!
Everyone has been saying its their Derby horse, I would have thought Wentworth would be more of a Guineas type but apparently he has went weak after his last run so you wont see him again this season.
I think that's a tad harsh Toppy - first run since April and he made all his own running today. I don't think he relishes being alone in front but when something comes to have a go he finds more (Simonsig couldn't get past him!!). I just can't work out why he got beat by Lovcen at Aintree ............... trip, going or just had enough for the season after his injury?
