Yet the "fact" is that Monk has got the team nearer to possible relegation than Laudrup ever did.
Also the team are playing rubbish, and there are rumours of discontent in the dressing room. All very Daija vu.
Yet you still heap abuse on Laudrup, whilst lavishing praise on an obvious "useless loser".
Double standards are not solely the domain of our mods,it would seem. <laugh>

Dont be so silly your embarrassing yourself now. We had 18 months of utter tripe football under laudcrap, Everyone knows that. we were just 2 points away from relegation before huw had to make one of his best decisions of his chairmanship and sack laudcrap and appoint his captain in a gamble to save us......no question. He not only saved us he sent us up the table where he got us safe with games to spare. Last season was the best ever on record under monks guidance and this season he carried on where he left off and if it was not for the international breaks we would have not had this blip.....and that's all it is is a blip. Monk will get the team up and running again i have no doubt about that.....Laudcrap had lost the players and there was only one way we were heading and that was relegation....

    Fixed.

However Dai, even you can acknowledge surely that the past few games have been as poor and clueless as any game under MLs leadership?

Dai - I can't agree that we had "18 months of utter tripe football". We played some good stuff, very good stuff, under ML. The victory away at Loftus Road (5-0), the home victory over WBA (the first half was outstanding at times), beating Liverpool and Chelsea away in the League Cup were great results, and well produced performances.

Yes - at the end, I could understand and agree with the decision to dispense with ML, but the vilification of his entire period of management is wrong just plain wrong. <cheers>

Players gone way off the boil monk taking a lot of flak it doesn't bode well for the villa game so I'm going for a cautious 6-0 swans win coz that just the type of lovely head fk they will produce if they still care about being in the biggest shop window in football !

Very good post roof, and agree in essence, but would just like to point out that spending more i.e. more money (£8.5Million) doesn't equate necessarily with better players, though when you pay such sums, they should at least be tested on the field of play, why buy them in the first place otherwise. Monks substitutions ons and team selection have been bizarre on times, and while Eder is getting game time Tabanou isn't getting a sniff, also there is also the issue of Emnes, where the hell is he?, he's a great little forward that should at least be on the bench with our poor forward issues of late, but he is nowhere to be found, this is a Managerial issue, and I've not heard he is injured.................<ok>

"there was only one way we were heading and that was relegation."

It would seem history is repeating itself then.

Laudrup was dismissed in January if my memory holds good. No team in any League has ever been relegated in January.

Just listen to yourself. Your hatred of Laudrup is on a par,if not worse, than that exhibited by valley and dragon What a deadly trio. <laugh>

    "Monks substations". <laugh>

More comedy gold from the rich vein that runs through North Gower.

Supplying electricity to the national grid now then. Are there no limits to what this man can achieve?

Well,if his ability to supply power is on a par with the results of his team, heaven help us all. It's going to be a long hard, not to mention dark, winter.

Another "winter of discontent". Come back James Callaghan, all is forgiven

Now,where did I put those candles.

Where do I have a hatred for Laudrup Vetch? I have always credited ML with his first season with us, and have said on numerous occasions that his first season with us was outstanding. So please do pull your head out of Laudrups arse instead of making things up in future.

ML produced outstanding football in his first season and terrible football in his second season. Shame that you are so bitter you cannot see what people post.

I feel giddy. A Swansea team scoring 5. When did the first team last manage that? Against Bradford?
