What was wrong with BR..He was very committed to the club and the players and fans when he was here. He would enter into Swansea life and he supported the cities and surrounded area charitable events......He was a very good manager for us.....

Never mind how good Rodgers was when he was here , he left 20 million when he left taking Allen with him .
Enough for the purchase of Bony and Fernandez with a few million left over.
I hope someday he will come back , with Allen in tow at a cut rate price.

The Swans' and Rodgers mutually benefited from their time together.
He was vilified for taking his backroom staff with him, which is standard practice.
The Swans' would probably still be in the Championship, but for his input.
He deserves accolades not abuse. But hey,we are talking football supporters here. <laugh>

Overall , I'm very disappointed with the game against Villa but super happy for the 3 points.
One thing I am is overjoyed for Monk.Even though we didn't play perticularily well , Monk really deserved a break , because he wasn't getting any for a half dozen games.I think the players and manager will relax with a bit of confidence and wie'll see what we really have from the Gunner game on.

Also screwed us out of the Gylfi deal and tried to buy Bony behind our backs on the cheap.

My take on Rodgers has always been the same. He got us promoted through his astute move on getting Sinclair in from Chelsea and for that we should always be grateful. But I've met him, and jeez he's such a ****ing blarney merchant. I'm sure his middle initials are B.S. He said I was fortunate to be living in such a great city with such wonderful people and when I brought him over a drink from the bar he said I had great strength and technical ability.

Regardless how we've recently performed against Arsenal they're still favourites to win so perhaps now we can concentrate on this one to be more about the performance than the actual result , if we get to any where near to the start of this seasons efforts then we're more than capable of getting something out of the game .yes there may have been unsavoury scenes after the game v Villa but it shows that some players care enough so hopefully we kick on .

Well,Rodgers is Irish, and he does what the Irish do best - talk.
They are free with the flattery, but having worked with many Irishmen down the years,I found them great company.
Never underestimate them, however, they aren't as dull as they want you to believe.
    I like the Irish.

Attempting to get 2 players as per any manager would do , compared to us getting to the premier and 20 million when he left with Allen .....hum ,

Buying Bony on the cheap by trying to exploit a 12 million buy out clause and tapping him up behind the clubs back would have left us in the ****e and could have cost us far more than the £20 million we had for Joe and BR. Gylfi was also a done deal until Brendan opened his mouth in his press conference and told Gylfi in a coded way to come to Anfield instead <ok>

Way she goes when it's team vs team, off the pitch.Managers job is to get the best for their team , he would be in breach of contract if he didn't do his best for the team I assume. The problem around here is most want a departing manager to be still part Swansea manager when they arrive with there new team

Rodgers lost the opportunity to do what he does best when he reached "A Big Money Club" and that is create a cheap , no ego team, much like Moyes.
Rodgers lost his job at Reading with not a lot on the horizon .Swansea gave him a job where he did very well to get us to the premier and keep us there on the cheap with good results .
.Gets to Liverpool where one of the first things he does is pay 15 million for Allen , I knew he was out of his element with saucer size eyes right away.

Surely you cannot condemn Rodgers for wanting to better himself and manage Liverpool, one of THE biggest Clubs around?

He did better than "very well" at Swansea,I think. Extremely well, more like it.

So,he may have paid over the odds for Allen, but that was not the cause of his ultimate demise.
