Well, I must be getting soft in my not so old age, it was bloomin freezing at Aintree yesterday and i'm only now just warming up...!! Anyway, just a few things to report back on yesterdays Aintree visit that produced a few really close finishes and some by a distance... Should have followed the Nico/Hendo combo on Champagne Mystery, not Follow The Bear, good win as well... Liked Mossy Fen, good run from the front. Starting to warm to Sam Twister as ive never been totally enamoured with him... I did have The Last Day on my notes but went with Charmat. Only one winner from a bit out... Went with Cepage, just done for fitness in the end, great training performance to get that run out of him after a years break... Well pleased with Skandiburg holding on to a good little battle with Diomede... Ah, Top Notch. Seen the race back on tv now, only went behind by a neck on the run in but looked nearly a length at the track. Great heart, great finish, glad he got up to win... Went with Nico/Lacey as I read earlier they had a 40% combo strike rate. Even though he finished 2nd here Let It Be had bolted up and looks a good one to follow in the near future... Great day once again, all be it I froze y nads off. Looking forward to more trips out with my mates again... Top day...
