I've never managed to back the winner of the Gold Cup. I've had great weeks, I've had good weeks, I've had ok weeks and I've had horrendous weeks whilst betting at Cheltenham over the years but one thing that is usually guaranteed is that whatever I put on the Gold Cup usually either reduces my weekly profit or increases my weekly losses

Lots to like mate. A course and distance winner and has been competitive at listed level. The horse that finished a place behind it at Ascot has won since so there is value in the form and it’s a nice ew price.
No champagne this time but Top Decision did ok finishing 3rd. He should be out in 2 weeks time on a more galloping track hopefully with Fergus Gregory on board. I backed top and drop to win which helped make the day..no other bets though..saving myself for next week The Kings writ just touched off....
