For those interested and to put it into perspective of how good Mossey Joe was, he won tonight in a time that was 6.7 seconds quicker than standard despite not coming off the bridle, crashing into the last fence and making the running himself on ground officially described as good. Harbour Court won over the same C+D earlier in the night carrying 4lb less in a 15 second slower time (readily enough as well) whilst the 126 rated That's Rhythm completed the same course and distance in a 12 second slower time MJ and was carrying 6lb less if taking into account the jockey's claim. That would very strongly suggest to me that both Chapoturgeon and Salsify ran to form and Mossey is just that much better than them. Absolute beast of a performance and it emphasises how much of machine he really is.
I also think it quells the fear that he got an easy lead (and needs one). The time suggests if something tried they couldn't have gone with him.

PASTORAL PLAYER was ridden by G Baker last 2 outings yet hes on PREMIO LOCO. in the 3.15 haydock would he of had the choice between the 2 ?
Morning all just been studying the first athaydock red and decided that I would side with Kiama bay at 20/1 ew this could be suicidal but everything looks right for a return to a good run and at 20/1 quarter odds for a place he looks more value than the fav sun central who granted has a good record

4.20 Beverley Rockweiler 13/2 e/a
Ready to win apparently. Not my usual type of race for a bet though so I'm on each way.
2.55 Newcastle Nocturn 9/2 e/w
This one's capable of taking before going on to bigger and better things.
2.05 Haydock De Rigueur 8/1 e/w
Cheek pieces, steadily improving, jockey does bare minimum weight.
Good luck today Ek. I like MEMORY STYX 2.10 Chester tissue 10-1. He has the plum draw but most importantly enough early pace to use it to good effect round here. Will appreciate dropping back to five and can possibly lead all the way.
Can someone please tell me how Paul Hanagan has won two jockeys titles.....
