    AP McCoy doesn't often do 10st5lbs these days does he? It could just be that, insanely driven obsessive that he is, when offered the ride on Zip Top in the Imperial Cup he thought he'd simply apply his iron will to the control of his own body once again just because he can. I don't see why he'd do light unless he thought the thing had a chance though.

    Of course everything the great man rides between now and April 30th will be overbet and offer little value, but 12/1 looks a fair price for this one today. Besides, I might not get too many more opportunities to shout "Goooowaaan McCooooy!!!" all the way up the run in, so for that reason - I'm in.

    First things first, welcome back Red, you were certainly missed!

    15:10 Sandown - Arzal e/w

    (Agree with above comments, has a decent chance in a gut-buster of a race which I have always loved as an appetizer before the Cheltenham Festival. Seen a few Imperial Cups in my younger days, great day at the races. Arzal ticks a lot of boxes even though he certainly has enough weight, but the 7lb claim of a promising young conditional will help. He'll need luck in running like all the others. Have backed him at 12/1 e/w (5-places) with PercivalPower Inc.)

    The very best of luck today everyone! <ok>

    Morning chaps

    A decent day's telly racing, given that Chelts is just around the corner. Along with others I see no reason why Aigle De La See won't oblige in the 2-00 Sandown, in the 3-10 I took the 14's on offer about Arzal last night - he seemed to be a bit unlucky LTO, stopped in his tracks just as he was making a move, but this is the Imperial Cup, and one of the most competitive handicaps outside of Cheltenham and Aintree. Are the Pipe's plotting one? Again. Actually not much of a plot with Bidourey as he is quite exposed. And Thistlecrack could be anything - Oddy thinks he is something. Same thing could be said about West Wizard and I have backed them both. Over at Wolves, I am liking Halation very much <ok>

    got to stay with the Pipe dream now mainly because I invested last night after half a dozen pints of Pedigree, wont see the race as I'll be cheering Derby on to the top of the championship. In the cold light of day I may have a bit e/w on Arzal.

    Good luck everyone------not long now :)

    Tough tough day today fellas and one to be wary of this close to Cheltenham!
    Still a few I have to be on though;
    AMIDON 2:00 Sandown- yard were very disappointed with his latest effort, he is better than that and a tidy price today! (25-1)
    CHOOKIE ROYALE 2:15 Wolves - simply better than these, cmon 365 let me have 4's
    WHISTLE DIXIE 3:45 Sandown - chuffed to get 4's last night, classy looking mare
    BOOGIE LIFE 5:05 Ayr - nice pedigree and in the right yard for a bumper debut win (8/1)

    Good luck all

    Ruby has chosen to ride Faugheen in the Champion Hurdle, any good each way bets? There's no way I can back the favourite, he's never been in such a competitive field. As for the Gold Cup, I've backed both Many Clouds and Holywell each way, preference is for the former because of his last two wins, but I have a feeling it could be Holywell's day.
