Looks a good card too. Unfortunately I'm not racing this weekend. Lots of runners that I like tomorrow, keep with the yards in form.
In the 1.15 Sandown its very interesting Nicholls steps Connetable into listed open company on his 2nd run for the yard as a 4 year old. His form behind Gibralfaro looks decent and they pulled a mile away from the others and is getting a stone from Peace and Co. It just doesnt seem like him to throw someone in so deep early on and im thinking given a strong pace from Rayvin Black he can give the fav a race. Scilly Isles looks a great match between the first 2. I feel that T4T will excel over further than this trip whilst this is absolutely spot on for Bristol De Mai. His jumping is immaculate and with the better ground at Sandown i think he will have too much pace for the favourite in receipt of 3 lbs. Ibis Du Rheu reopposes Yala Enki and i think these 2 are still way beyond the handicapper despite going up for the last race. IBS is 4lbs (9 lbs including claim from Deutsch) better off and the step up in trip is certain to suit. Westren Warrior franked the form with a good second last weekend. I think for both horses this will be a stepping stone before the Coral Cup The Towtown at Wetherby looks a cracker but i feel there is only 1 genuine class performer in the field and thats Bitofapuzzle, shes proven at grade 1 level and can soundly jump - barring that 1 mistake last time out. Native River looks a out and out stayer and the form behind him so far isnt quite top notch. Blaklion is a good horse but seems to be just below the best. The mare has plenty of allowances here and looks the pick. Elsewhere i think Silsol for the Welsh Hurdle, Tombstone to take the scalp of Bellshill. Pont Alexandre, Gilgamboa ew in the gold cup. Superb quality.
I backed Peace and Co at evens earlier this week. I did stick it up on here somewhere. I'd say TFT is a bit of a good thing tomorrow
Bryden Boy 2.40 FFL about 7/1. Blew the cobwebs away at Catt last time...trip too far...looking for him to make a bold bid with a positive ride.
Like the big guns tomorrow - Bellshill Pont Alexandre to out do Outlander and FOXROCK looks a cracking ew bet at 10/1 ran a great race when third in the Lexus won't mind the ground and did come second in this last year one i do like in the handicap at 3.05 LEGACY GOLD last seen when racing for David Pipe over a year ago and ran a blinder of a race in a decent handicap - has the talent to win a race like this intresting that this is a drop in trip and re joins his old yard at 12/1 looks a decent price
1.50 Sandown- MR MOLE- 6/1 Very interested to see how he gets on tomorrow, this a major drop in class for him, and altho probably does need to go down the handicap abit more but is only 2lbs higher than his last win, won over c&d and same class of race last January before going on to win at A grade one at Newbury (when AP announced he was retiring) and altho he has not showed much this season this drop in grade back on to a feasible mark and has some decent ground he can show his class against the rest
Fantastic racing everywhere you turn tomorrow and it would be very easy to get carried away with lots of bets. With my trip to Cheltenham on the horizon, however, it's time to play it sensible and keep a few pennies back so I'm just trying these:- Lingfield 1.45: COLD AS ICE (9/4) - looks the class act here and also is well in at the weights. Leopardstown 1.55: BELLSHILL (11/8) - needs to win this if he is to maintain his status as biggest danger to Yanworth in The Neptune and I think he will Wetherby 2.45: NATIVE RIVER (7/2) - hated the track last time when finding things happening too quickly. This will suit better. Sandown 4.05: BOLISTER (10/1) - no real form so far over hurdles but this is his handicap debut for a stable who know how to plot one up and have a great record at the track. I don't expect the 10/1 to last long!
Peace & co pulls harder than Sir Barney salivating over Mr Henderson in his barn nursing Simonsig back to his former glories!
Ste u mean the forum's favourite teacher's pet and the forum's favourite trainer - only kidding - If Nicky the needle has serious thoughts about Peace & Co entering Champion Hurdle calculations then it must and as SBC would state - must win well !!
Surely if he beats Rayvin Black two lengths he is a serious each way contender for the Champion Hurdle
