Baashir ran too free, the jockey didn't even seem to try to get cover and let him sit out wide with his head cocked all the way. Unsurprisingly, he found nothing when asked and he'll need to settle better if he is to have any chance. Some short priced ones turned over today and it wasn't the best of days racing really. Starman looks like his improvement has stalled now and with the prospect of soft ground for the Champion Sprint, he looks dubious at 5/1 after today's run on ground that should have suited.
