Will take a real chance with old-boy Cudgel in the 17:00 at Hexham. In good nick, and can make them all go!
A big few minutes for the lads. Even though .................. the bastards are rolling in money so **** em
125 I thought Rosallion had got it but fair play to the winner, he did that really nicely. How times change - the 2000GNS winner started out on the sand at Kempton in January.
I think this was an excellent summary. There's been too much hyperbole about some flashy horses for a long time.
I managed to give him End Of Story (4/1) and Star Of Lady M (11/1) but didn't follow Pilgrim on Titan Rock
When I saw City of Troy in the paddock I didn't like the look of him. I'd expect to see a well-muscled hind quarter but he looked light to me as if he had been overtrained (unlikely) or he hadn't flourished over the winter. The ITV paddock experts said very little other than that he was dwarfed by Ghostwriter. At 6f I thought Rosallion was travelling as well as anything. I don't think he stayed the full 8f. He may be better at 7f, the only trouble being that they are likely to try him over 6f or 8f as there is only one Group 1 7f race. As tough and genuine as Haatem is he is very exposed and if the winner can't beat him by more than 3&1/4 lengths then he's not going to figure as an outstanding racehorse. Maybe the winner will improve with more racing.
You would not have picked City Of Troy out yesterday...on looks he was least likely winner...I'm not a fan so I was quite happy to see it turned over.
