In all my time as a back seat member I have never known it get to this time on a Saturday and there not be a thread up!

Decent racing on today from Chester, Newbury, Newmarket, Stratford, haydock, tramore and York.

I'm heading to York today and it looks a tricky card. I like Sirius prospect in the first 1.50.
Good course and distance form and I think he has the edge over Bertiwhittle despite s slight pull for his neck victory at Kempton.

The 2.50 looks a nightmare to pick but I'm going for secret witness and ancient cross.

Happy betting

The 2yo Stick mentioned that didnt run last time last time runs in the first at Newmarket today, Dark Profit.

Farquhar looks interesting in the last at Haydock, he was slow away but ran well in the Arab Dawn race at Newbury which looks to be working out quite well, handicapper has dropped him two pounds and he doesnt look up against anything of that calibre here.

Morning all

So 3 out of 4 was a very good return yesterday and dare i say it after 2 months of only doing the 2 yr old races i feel in starting to get a handle on it :), lots of 2 yr old races today but im hoping to land a few of them :)

200 CHES- Altha Agata
640 NEWB- Baronessa
155 NEWM- Dark Profit
225 NEWM-Scutum
400 YORK- Mister Universe

Goodluck

3 at Newmarket for me, doubles and a treble.

Burnt Sugar 5/2
Perfect Summer 9/4
Cosseted(NAP) 4/1

Backed Dark Profit this morning but couldnt understand why the name kept leaping off the page, cheers for explaining Boris, was never going to be my own work <laugh>

Scoop6 hangover week , astonishing to think we was all hyped up at that moment in time.
leg 1 the ball breaker will I or wont I get past it :bandit: style

Afternoon All.
Today's lucky 15.
Haydock Park,2-05.Astonishing.
Haydock Park,2-40.Eton Forever.
Newmarket,3-35.Rye House.
haydock Park,3-50.Betimes.
Good Luck to all.

Alnecessaryforce @16/1 3.25 yORK

I think it is significant that Richard Fahey brings this horse back to the track only two days after running a good 2nd at Haydock, he says on his blog..." 1m4f Soft conditions perfect for him & thinks there's more to come."Running off joint bottom weight here the saddle monkey Tony Hamilton rides at his minimum racing weight of 8-07St.

I believe they are striking while the iron is hot 16/1 Each Way 1st 3 places paid, 1/4 the odds, represents good value to me.

Good Luck!

It's just the flat season simmo, there's a general disinterest in it by most. Nothing of interest to me either, hopefully the Epsom meeting will pick up more interest.

Froch v Groves tonight. Any strong views? The consensus seems to be that Froch turned up poorly prepared for the last fight and that the real Froch should turn up tonight and blow him away. I actually think the opposite. Groves is the younger, hungrier fighter and I expect if he boxes smart, he'll win a cosy points decision but it looks a potential firecracker.

Fancy Dutch Rose in the opener at York. Has won 3 times here in 3 starts. At 9/1 is good ew I thinks. Will do it in an ew double with Dark Profit.

Froch to stop him around about the 7th round for me. Froch won't take Groves lightly this time like he did last time. Froch's class will tell in the end i think, just as long as he can withstand the first few rounds as Groves is bound to come out of the blocks quickly
