Well said Attivo, may I offer my grateful thanks to Stick and to Chelsea who provided four outstanding pay days for me in 2016. We all appreciate that not all bits of information will go in and we will never complain when the money stays in the deep satchels but what joy when they have to give us a bit back! Let 2017 be a good year.

Willie is treating us tomorrow. Sure Reef makes his reappearance after 3 years on the sidelines and we get to see Redhotfillypeppers for the first time. Robin Roe in the Challow, looked pretty special last time up at Aintree.

Edwulf 12.15 Punchestown 7/4
Would have finished second to Our Duke but for falling last time. Has very solid form but has fallen on a few occasions. If he gets around he will win.

Monksland 1.20 Punchestown 5/2
Has solid form and looks well treated at the weights.

Baltazar D'Allier 1.50 Newbury 9/2
Won really well on debut. The second has done the form no harm since.

Cepage 2.25 Newbury 11/8
Looked to be miles ahead of the handicapper on he first run in Britain. Has since gone up 13lbs but Iwould think he still room to work with that mark.

That must have been in January Nik, I have been rubbish for ages! I promise to get my zen back in 2017, my resolution!

Great to read that Bryan Cooper has said Don Cossack is looking in top form again and he should be good to go in March.

"watching him every day, the glow is back in him - he looks fantastic", Cooper told At The Races

"The lad who rides him every day says he couldn't be happier with him, so fingers crossed everything can keep going the way it's going. We'll take it week by week.

"It would be nice to have a go at him (Thistlecrack). He is very flashy in what he's being doing, but at the end of the day, Don Cossack is a Gold Cup winner and if he comes back with the same spark he had there last year, it's going to take a hell of a horse to beat him"

Sounds promising for the Don. Not the forum poster...the horse I mean. Be great if he made it. Get a run into him in February I'd say they will be hoping for.

Racing UK is free to view on mobdro and cricfree every day <ok>

Not posted on here much this year as had some family stuff going on, but hopefully turned the corner and can contribute more - although like Stick, my current form has been shocking.

One I like the look of today is I AM COLIN @ 11/1 - Career best effort when winning at Bangor on seasonal reappearance last month, will appreciate a bit further - STD takes over from Zak Baker whilst race Twiston-Davies other runner the favourite Yanmere will be ridden by Sheehan for the first time!!

Small stakes e/w patent at Newbury: Connetable, Yanmare, Geordie Des Champs

Plus a silly fiver acca on: Percy Street, Copper Kay, Buveur D'Air, William Henry, Redhotfillypeppers

Best of luck everyone <ok>

The winner of that juvenile is a jockey club syndicate horse. Maybe turning up at the festival in the Fred Winter?

Won really well Nass, send me a text about 10 minutes before the Fred Winter if he runs ;)

You just know the other 4 in my acca are going to win now ............... I knew the Hendo nag would let it down <grr>
