    Newbury

Free Thinking, Black River, Opera Og, Batonnier, At Fishers Cross, Super Duty, Filbert.

    Newcastle

Green Flag, Presented, Oscar Rock, Swing Hard, Duke of Navan, Vintage Star, Full Shift

Really like Batonnier, Opera Og and Vintage Star

Think Adam Kirby has two nice rides for Willie McKay in last two at Wolverhampton too.

That helicopter crash in Glasgow tonight is just over a mile away from me. Can't believe it has actually happened. They are still unsure of any fatalities but it's not looking good. Fingers crossed for everyone

Newbury 3.00pm - Katenko. 16/1 BPG Each way - 5 places. This horse was full of promise last season and I am hoping he has fully recovered from his bout of colic and will handle the ground. Its not the classiest Hennessy you will see so he 'll do for me. I have also had an each way saver on Imperial Commander 20/1 BPG Each way 5 places. Seems to always go well fresh and is reunited with Paddy Brennan. 20/1 seems a massive price.

Also looking forward to seeing My Tent or Yours but i have resisted the temptation to have a large bet there....

This is going to sound ridiculous but I've got to post it anyway, had a dream Our Father won the Hennessy last night, it might just be because I was thinking it though, like I was debating last night whether to have £30 on Rocky Creek to win but Our Father just kept looking at me and I just had a really funny feeling about it and couldn't get away from it and then last night I just remember seeing the end bit of the race and him way clear with the commentator saying " And our father wins the Hennessy for the pipe team ".

Have had 3-4 similar dreams before though of stuff like this but only one has come true.

Looking at the Hennessey I will stick with Invictus and Rocky Creek against the field. Some 10/1 available on both this morning. It doesnt look an absolute vintage renewal but these two are two of the most potentially progressive chasers and are both fairly weighted. Lord Windermere is in a similar category although has a big ask from his weight but he is one to look out for in the future.

Invictus is all about whether he has retained ability and fit enough to win a 3m 2f chase. Rocky Creek has so been aimed at this from some way out and will relish the stamina test. Also think he will be suited to Daryl Jacobs style of riding as he responds generously

    Morning all,

12.20 Newbury The Pirate's Queen 14/1. 2nd to Centasia on first hurdles start drawing well clear of the rest which looks decent form and 14/1 looks a big price. The 3rd from that race Born To Benefit runs in the 12.15 at Towcester and should win.

1.05 Newcastle Blakemount 10/1 Oscar Rock is very much the one to beat but Blakemount improved in his P2P's and got of the mark 2nd time of asking under rules over 2m4f. This step up in trip should suit and is a nice each way price.

2.05 Newcastle Grumeti 12/1 MTOY should win this but wont be touching him at that price and Grumeti looks a bit of value. Was a top juvenile hurdler before missing almost a year through injury and is still only a 5yo so hoping he can run a nice race today.

3.00 Newbury Rocky Creek 10/1 & Super Duty 14/1 Very open Hennesy and both of these second season chasers will improve this year.

    Good luck all <ok>

    Hello lads.

My nap Sizing Gold is a NR so back to the drawing board.

Flat out is a fascinating runner in the 2.30 at F'house, having his first outing for the best part of three years after looking a top class novice 'chaser. He was a very decent novice hurdler as well and runs today off a fairly lenient 139 but will surely need this before stripping fitter over the big 'uns next time out.Interesting to see how much ability he retains and if there is any cash for him.

    GL all.

(I dreamt last night that Australia were all out for 96...perhaps a portent for the next test?)

I took the 5-2 already, but thnx. It's actually a decent bet, and much as I love Melodic Rendezvous, I think the Tent will take this. I also have Grumeti ew, so he'll have to be third!

Dex, you are truly stuck in a time warp!

That said - I downloaded all 25 episodes of You Rang M'Lord last week <laugh>
