Crashing fall for Pepite Rose, just getting up when run into and bowled over again. Hope she's ok. Nicholls and second string don't usually come out best and 18-1 is almost unheard of for a PN winner!

Complete boil over at Kelso as well...a real crystal ball job.

I still really like the second.

Got to love Paul Nicholls Betfair column <laugh>:

    Themilanhorse

Very progressive last season and ran an excellent race when second off a mark of 140 over hurdles at Aintree in May. Didn't handle the testing conditions when disappointing on his return, but ran well enough in a jumpers' bumper in January. Certainly looks a chaser in appearance and if he can translate his hurdling ability to fences here then he clearly has winning prospects, especially since this has cut up to just three runners - though Fill The Power is rated 135 and quite a fair horse on his day. Has pleased us in his schooling and will adore the fast ground.

Ran no sort of race and 3rd of 3

    Michel Le Bon

I won't beat around the bush, he has run stinkers on his last two starts. But there was a ray of hope in his homework this week when we worked him in blinkers - they seemed to wake him up, so he runs in them here. We all know what a good horse he is on his day - the Badger Ales second to The Package showed that - and he is back on the same mark today. And maybe the drying ground may help him too. He has the ability to win here but clearly it takes somewhat of a leap of faith for punters to back him after his last two starts.

    Hosed up at 5/1

    Pacha Du Polder

In Monday night's Twitter Q and A on Betfair, I mentioned Brampour as the most disappointing horse in the yard this season, but in truth I could just have easily nominated this one. I thought he was set for a big season but his three performances on the track have been pretty moderate. But if he returns to the form he showed when winning at Ayr last season, then a mark of 145 underestimates his talents. So it wouldn't surprise me in the least were he to run a big race. Am I confident he will? No, is the honest answer.

Won by 5 lengths at 18/1

If the trainer can get it so wrong, what hope have we? At least he put us right on Aaim To Prosper - "In fact, if pushed, I would probably say that he was my best chance of the day."

I said today wouldn't be his target. Why win today when Cheltenham is round the corner?!

Complete pocket talk here but why was he trying to boot Harry Topper into that fence? He had jumped fine up until then.

Had a little dabble on the Ferguson runner Beaujolais at Donny - with no hurdles to negotiate he should go well <laugh>

Got any other odds on plodders I can avoid?

The words 'cart horse' and 'big mouth' have literally never been more appropriate.

And you can take that to the bank <ok>

Don't know what you're talking about. He was 6/4 when I backed him. Got a poor ride and fell.

'Child' and 'bitter' have never been more apt.

    Your Champion has spoken.
