And I still haven't ever backed the Lincoln winner! Its possible I backed Larkspur in 1962, but memory fails me! Proper race next a and hoping Morning Reggie can do me a favour
Watching that Lincoln Handicap, one horse really caught my eye halfway through the race but seemed to wander about and refusing to race from about 2 out (possibly hating the ground). Anyway, he dropped right out and I'm sure he's better than the form book will show. May be worth keeping an eye on once he can get a sounder surface to race on. One to note on a sound surface over a mile - Mutarakez
Told you my memory was pants! I'm pretty sure I haven't managed to find the Lincoln winner but I'll check names and see if any jog a memory!
Bugger. Missed some races on TV. Didn't spot they switched to More4 after the Lincoln. Would have enjoyed the 15.20
Just had a nibble of the 10's on offer by Paddy Power (half that elsewhere) about the Bill Turner runner Crucial Moment for the Brocklesby. Being by Pivotal he could well handle conditions well enough to take the heat today and we all know Bill likes a nice 2yo.
Shout Ardent Duke Street travelled like a trojan the entire way round. It's rare you can say who the winner is a mile from home. There must be 10 lbs improvement in his jumping alone for next season. That race usually throws up something very reasonable indeed so keep him in your trackers. Newland has a good horse there.
This last race at Kempton should go to Hamelin - I think he may have too much for them if seeing out the 2 mile trip. 4-1 a decent enough price.
Not sure whether it is people following an in-form stable, but in the Newbury bumper the lovely Rebecca Curtis' horse Summer Name has been backed all day and is in to 4/1 from 13/2 this morning (and I do mean Rebecca is lovely, not the horse. Although I've never seen the horse, he could also be lovely )
