Flat racing is judged on the 3-Y-O campaign though is it not? There is a difference between a champion and a superstar champion though. If a horse wins say a combination of 4 of the following, 2000G, Derby, Eclipse, KG, Arc, or put another 1 or 2 G1 champions races in there then he is a superstar champion, Nashwan, Dancing Brave, Sea the Stars were that even though they all ran around 5 times as a 3-Y-O. Lamtarra only run a handful of times but was surely still a champion. I think that is where the difference is myself. Some champions get hyped where as the true ones speak for themselves. NH and flat have obviously different measuring sticks for it. The Fellow, Celtic Shot, were champions but Istabraq, Kauto Star were superstars.
