With Ribchester running he wont be shorter, will be at least 2/1 on the day, might start shorter over there.

The big one on Friday is Sharp Azteca in the Dirt Mile, 11/2 just now, will start a fair bit shorter over there but will probably be around 5/1 on the day with our bookies.

The Distaff is a nightmare but happy with 10/1 Paradise Woods.

Rushing Fall 3/1 looks good in the Juvenile Turf, I put up last years winner of this for the same connections but no double figure price this time. September is crying out for a trip already and I dont think a mile round Del Mar is what she wants just now, will love the fast ground though, would be more scared of Happily.

Free Drop Billy is my bet in the Juvenile against Bolt Doro who will probably be the shortest price of the meeting. His form is on trial tonight with the 2nd and 3rd from the Breeders Futurity running in the 9.30 Churchill tonight so will be watching with interest.

I'm not as big into the American racing as you so this weekend was the first I've had a serious look at the meeting, especially the friday. Came away with two bets so far.

Forever Unbridled in the distaff, 3rd last year and done well since then. Happily in the fillies turf, don't know much about the yank horse thats fav for the race but would happily take it on with Happily, Moore will surely choose that over September.

I was on Forever Unbridled when she beat Songbird earlier in the season and I like her, Elate looks a monster as well, thats why im saying its a nightmare of a race, the only one im definitely against is the fav Stellar Wind. Just got a suspicion that the 3yo form might be a bit stronger here and hoping that Paradise Woods gets a softish lead because shes a bit of a monster from the front, Forever Unbridled is a hold up horse and Elate will sit midfield, they better hope that some outsider is sacrificed to take her on. She has the same trainer as the great Beholder and he produced her to perfection in this race twice.

The horse she beats here had run 1 1/2L 3rd to Stellar Wind in a G1 earlier in the season.

This is her early in the season beating Abel Tasman who won her next 3 races in G1s including the Kentucky Oaks and beating Elate, she also runs in this race.

Winner stole race with track craft.
It may have been difficult conditions for 2yos and Roaring Lion may have got the worst of it but it was Saxon Warrior hanging left initially at the pole which handed the advantage to Roaring Lion who then proceeded to do the same thing. Both travelled like good horses and stood out a mile from a long way out but the winner just had too much in the tank, looked the greener of the two and has more scope for improvement going up in distance next season.

It was a class finish with Moore and Murphy as well, ive never been a follow a jockey punter but I have always liked Murphy, the way he speaks and his passion, and he has done me plenty of turns, including when nailing Moore in a finish.
That's exactly how I read the race

Not bad for Free Drop Billy, Lone Sailor beaten a nose and Bravazo in 3rd after getting snatched up. Seemed to be some decent reputations going into the race as Lone Sailor was only joint 3rd choice despite finishing 3rd in a Grade 1 last time.
