8.15 Wolverhampton- WALK ON WATER - Evens

My deepest apologies for tipping an even money shot(will make up for it later with a big price loser <laugh>) howver he went in my tracker lto after he did extremely well finishing 4th when hanging like a dog but take that out he finished like rocket inside the final furlong which certainly took the eye. Was crying out for headgear which he gets tomorrow and that sjos straighten him up he defiantlely has taken and will be extremely hard to beat!
 
3.10 Cheltenham- DOUBLE W’S - 6/1

Has been laid out for this race imo does not want any further than 2m and this race is made for him. A real joy to watch over fences. Travelled like a dream at the festival when just not getting home then went on to win at aintree. Ran fairly well lto at Kelso when he travelled again like a good thing but just ran out of puff and got home in his own time. Proven at the track and a lot of these imo want further!

5.30 Cheltenham- AINCHEA- 7/2

Brother to One Track Mind who won his only bumper run, bought for 150,000 Guineas by the Potts who love their bumper Horses, the Tizzard Horses running ok and this one took the eye!!
 
Looks a very good renewal of the Racing Post. Verbal Dexterity is tempting at the prices with G1 form in the book but it would be a slightly disappointing result in terms of next years Derby if he won and you have to worry about him missing the Dewhurst, think he handled the ground better than most in the National stakes as well. The Pentagon is a nice horse but the form doesnt look up to this now and apparently he had a slight setback, he probably wants firm ground and hes went a big walk in the market since the betting opened. Roaring Lion has done nothing wrong in 3 runs, he has a US pedigree though and hes not going to win the Derby, he just scraped home in the Royal Lodge from Nelson who would be here if that form was good enough, expect him to run a big race without being good enough to win. Loxley and Gabr are both maiden winners with potential but have a mountain to climb and if there is one lurking at a price I think it will be Chilean. His form doesnt look good enough but I was impressed by the way he won at Haydock and that little prick Atzeni has some record in this race, can see him riding this one very quiet and picking up some of the pieces late on. Saxon Warrior looks a class above I think and a serious Derby horse, easy maiden win from an unpromising position first time out and then showed the type of gears in the Beresford that I dont think anything else in this race has displayed, take the 6/4 and the 10/1 for the Derby.

3. Chilean

Backed Staxton a few times this season and he looks to have a decent chance again in the first at 6/1.

One my uncle is involved in is running in race 5 at Santa Anita, Irish Freedom. 24 people are flying over from the east coast to Santa Anita despite another horse in the syndicate running in a more valuable race elsewhere so I think they are expecting to be getting their pictures taken after the race.

Two for the locals at hq, in the first perfect candidate a front runner who is lumping weight but gets up the hill and could be hard to peg back in the 3.10 foxtail hill, once again a front runner who gets up the hill but this is tough a cracking race. Nigel hawke is a trainer I follow and his horse could surprise a few at a nice price.

Had a dream Roaring Lion won the RP Trophy last night, and its not like i was dreaming what i want to happen, because i bet on Chilean last night.
 
I have a strong suspicion that Aidan O’Brien is not going to be celebrating breaking Bobby Frankel’s record on Town Moor in the last British Group 1 of the season. He might have a third of the field but there are a couple of rivals with better ratings than any of the Ballydoyle contingent and his old mentor is not sending Verbal Dexterity just to sample the Yorkshire water. He missed the Dewhurst because of a dirty scope.

I wonder if he is making the trip over to Saint Cloud for the Critérium de Saint-Cloud (four of the seven from Ballydoyle) and the Critérium International (just one of the seven) on Sunday, as Kew Gardens and Frankel colt Nelson have an excellent chance of getting the job done in advance of the Breeders’ Cup meeting at Del Mar.

O'Meara sends 3 to Donny today and 2 to Wolves, and the man Danny Tudhope skips them all to ride just the one O'Meara sends to Leopardstown - So Beloved. Should win on form too, price is small at 5/2 but can't really see it being beat

Indeed it should Chelsea .. slight concerns about the stable's presumed second string though. Rfc may be called for :)

In the Racing Post I'm hoping for a dose of VD - Verbal Dexterity that is. Wouldn't want the other sort again. Not that I have ever had it, obviously.
The only clap I want is when VD enters the winners enclosure :D

At Cheltenham I'm liking Stick to the Plan and Cobra De Mai

Backed Bolger horse during the week but obviously worried about Saxon Warrior. Also backed Coologue in the first at Chelts, goes well fresh and Dickie on board.
