Stoute didn't seem at all pleased immediately after the race. When approached by the interviewer he said, with a very disapproving look, "My first thoughts were I feel sorry for the second". I suspect, with the Arc in mind, he thought Crystal Ocean was going to win that, easing down, and was not best pleased that Poet's Word came up and made Crystal Ocean fight harder than he needed to. After all, he had the first 2 places sewn up some way out. As Oddy says, that may have buggered both of them, unnecessarily
My thoughts post race . ran way above her rating of 83. Winner rated 100 4th rated 90 expect her revised rating to be pushing 100 which will make placing her very difficult. Looks to need 7f [2yo's can race over 7f from 1 Aug]. Entered for the group 2 lowther 6f York. Hope she swerves that York is a speed track and things could happen too quickly for her. No entries as yet for listed or group races as at the end of September,but that can change.Still think that there is a decent prize in her.
