FLASHCARD and motakhayyel have already met once this season,2 weeks ago, where the latter held the upperhand with about 2 lengths, but the balding horse could easily gain revenge today,as he has been left on the same mark.so,good chance here..stable in top form too..

A rather large balls up in the preview for the King George on The Racing Post. Their pearl of wisdom is as follows:-

"She's not been beaten in her last ten races but she's never faced a rival as good as Prince Of Wales's Stakes winner Crystal Ocean"

I guess this one doesn't count then?

    Enable 8/15F
    Frankie Dettori John Gosden
    4 92 128 88 126 –
Made all and dictated gallop, ridden when pressed entering final 2f, readily stretched clear under hands and heels riding over 1f out, ran on strongly, eased near finish, easily (op 8/11 tchd 4/5)

    1.
    Crystal Ocean 6/4
    David Probert Sir Michael Stoute
    4 910 129 89 127 –
Chased winner, closed and tracking winner 4f out, effort and ridden just over 2f out, unable to match pace of winner and driven over 1f out, well held and kept on same pace inside final furlong (op 5/4 tchd Evens)

    Cribbs Causeway (IRE) 66/1
    Kieran Shoemark Roger Charlton
    4 92 p 95 47 92 –
Always same place but never on terms with leading pair, effort well over 2f out, no impression and well beaten 2f out (op 80/1 tchd 100/1)

    Peak Princess (IRE) 100/1
    Rossa Ryan Richard Hannon
    4 92 p 93 44 89 –
Steadied and dropped in behind after start, took keen hold early, held up in 4th, never on terms with leading pair, effort 3f out, no impression and well beaten final 2f

Some people clearly have short memories.

I still feel Crystal Ocean has a little to prove as the Prince Of Wales fell right for him with the ill fated Sea Of Class running on totally unsuitable ground and Magical not really winning anything significant this season. Enable was 85-90% fit according to Gosden last time and if that's true she will win today.

The rains have put paid to a few today including Ultra Violet and Land Of Legends who are on my watch list. That leaves Swindler but he's pretty short at 2/1. Rather than go against him I did a double with Regal Reality, who should have more to come. Uneasy in the betting, probably because of the ground and Addeybb's preference for soft, I thought the Stoute horse ran well in the Eclipse last time.

    Newmarket 4.00 Swindler 9/4

    York 3.15 Regal Reality 11/4

    Win double.

Enable to solidify for the Arc.

a fiercely competitive renewal, with countless possibilities, but i think,RAISING SAND can go very well again.has a really solid strike rate here, and goes on the ground too,so with any luck in running, has a definite e w shout today.

I just can not see Crystal Ocean beating Enable at all and especially giving 3lbs. However, AVD with the weight for age looks the value for me.

it looks very much a two-horse race, true, but i have a nagging feel, that DEFOE might run a big race again.if its enough to win,i dont know, but with him,you can always hope for a reliable run.so,if hes placed,i ll be happy.anything else is a bonus...

I really don't think Enable will lose today and I really don't want her to lose. So rather than being all boring and throwing my money on an odds on favourite I've tried to find something that I think represents value and I'm lumping on Waldgeist to be placed first three at 13/8.

Was surprised to see how weak Elarqam was today, took 6/1 during the week. Regal Reality was a massive lay for me, was ridden for a place in the Eclipse and flattered as a result like Thundering Blue in the Juddmonte, Desert Encounter in the Eclipse etc. Addeyb looked the only danger really but Elarqam was giving him weight at Ascot and had to do plenty on the front end, he had a much easier trip today and turned the form round easily off levels, a career best and finally fulfilling his potential hopefully. He will run well in the Juddmonte I think but will be a step up.

what a great finish that was. Having to travel wide, and attack wide of Crystal Ocean shows how good a mare she is! That was the best flat race i've seen for a long time.

Doyle just doesnt have it in a finish, hes below top class, I think Dettori or Murphy might have won on Crystal Ocean the way the race panned out.

You have to say Crsytal Ocean will never beat Enable, this was his Gold Cup, that was the performance of his life and he looked nailed on to produce that, thats why I thought he was such a good bet at the prices, everything went wrong for Enable and she still won. Enables Gold Cup is in October.

I'm really ****ing annoyed. I put some of my Waldgeist winnings on Furzig in the last race at Newcastle. Watched the race and it won. Checked my balance and winnings haven't gone on. Looked at my bets and it's showing losing bet on Gas Monkey. I am 100% certain I put it on Furzig. Furzig was in my bet slip, bet placed, bet confirmed showing Furzig. But of course I have absolutely no way of proving this, they're just saying it was put on Gas Monkey. We're not talking a huge sum I only chucked £33 on it but that's not the point and I'm ****ing furious.
