looking increasingly likely that Ballydoyle are the subject of Bolgers drug allegations, I thought early in the season that their horses were not right, bug in the yard maybe, but starting to wonder now, all the Obriens faces have been tripping them for months in any interviews ive seen, and all of them are massively underperforming , I am not a big believer in coincidences could be a huge scandal brewing
He did say a Lance Armstrong. That would indicate the top dog in the industry. It's exactly where a few close people to me have been mentioning as well. Hard to say anymore though, as it would be unfair to have them allegations thrown at him if he is innocent.
Well done to all those on Hurricane Lane today, never watched a race as was completely tied-up with family business. Shout to Oddy too, for the Pitmans Derby winner.
Thanks guys - a lucky dart but what a ride from the young lad, coming from last to first up the straight. Really chuffed for him.
Absoultey tremendous call Oddy, as I arrive back home from first venture to the public house in over a year. Pints of Guinness were phantasmogorical, and it was great to catch up with friends. Italy did well, the championship is wide open still, with no outstanding team. Whilst I as am Irish as they come, it would be great to see England to win it. I am long gone from the persecution of history that has been thwarted upon me. Some of my best friends are English born and bred and with our interest in the EPL, I for one am not a begrudger but an eternal optimist for peace and friendship. May the best team win. Habe a good one folks.
After the Derby, I thought that Hurricane Lane would be their St Leger horse because he did just look like a galloper, so the long straight at Town Moor would give him ample time to get going. Immediately after the race, Charlie Appleby instead nominated the winner as the one he thought was their St Leger horse. In the Irish Derby, he started off near the pacemaker but when it became obvious that the pace was too quick, he dropped back to midfield. Once they got into the straight, Frankie went for home on the runner-up but Hurricane Lane just stayed on relentlessly to wear him down in the shadow of the post. The way that those that had been up near the pace folded suggests they did go too quick, only the runner-up being an exception. Clearly Ryan’s plan was to sit at the back – was in the last two most of the race – and come with a late run. High Definition found absolutely nothing and I have to wonder if he simply has not trained on or if he has to have easy ground. Two races on ground good or better this year equals two poor efforts.
