Off to watch the football in the pub, a couple of horses done ew. 2.50 Haydock Beatboxer 3.45 York Eeh Bah Gum Come on Tranmere and come on my horses. Have a good weekend
In the 2.50 Haydock I felt Barristan The Bold was worth an each way play to five places. Third at Chester last time he looked as if the step up to a mile would suit. The son of Excelebration was gelded at the start of the year and that looked a personal best for him last time out. Awe and Masaru were others to note but they are a bit shorter in the betting, especially Awe. There seems some support behind Barristan The Bold this morning and hopefully he can manage to be in the first five home. He should run well carrying 8st 6lb. 2.50 Haydock Barristan The Bold 12/1 Each-way 1-2-3-4-5 places
hi fellas! goodwood,1 55: well,ELARQAM presumably had his problems in his career so far,but he still brings very good and solid high class form to the table, from last season, and his comeback run wasnt devoid of promise.even more so,the third that day, mustashry, has just won the lockinge stakes last weekend,so that gives the form a rock-solid look.
a very nice start for me today.did it well in the end.. haydock,2 15: WATERSMEET is a long time favourite of mine, and though he was pulled up in the chester cup last time out,hes surely much better than that.so,i hope,he can give the johnston yard a quick-fire across the card double here.
Good win for Elarqam in the opener at Goodwood. Well done those that had him. Not sure how great that form actually will turn out to be with Willie John second – a horse rated less than a hundred – and Thundering Blue never really putting down any sort of challenge staying on into third from being held up last. Hopefully a stepping stone to better things for the Johnston horse or his main big race hope this year might turn out to be Dee Ex Bee in staying races.
york,3 05: a few of these fillies have one or two points to prove, but MAID UP has an interesting profile here.she has already a lot of experience, unlike some of the others, and she has been very progressive at a high level last season.was maybe flying a bit too high on her seasonal debut, but shes definitely one to note here, for a stable in grand form.
Irish 2000 Gns Skardu must finish in the first 3 and could reverse form with MG so at 13/2 looks a solid ew bet
curragh,3 35:2 000 GUINEAS well, there has to be a big question mark hanging over TOO DARN HOT over his recent, well documented preparation problems, but his trainer is a master of his profession, and he worked the oracle with enable last season, despite her problems,so if one can do it,its john gosden.so,if all is well now,big chance to put things right.whats your thoughts, fellas?
That is what you call a bubble well and truly burst... Calyx cantering the whole race while the other three scrubbed away; then when let go found absolutely nothing and only just held on for second.
