Should've held on to Gansey longer - thought he was gonna walk it. Half a furlong more and our lad would've won Toppy. Lucy Alexander riding out of her sking at the moment.

First real bet of the day on Not So Sure Dick at Kempton

I'ver dabbled on Arrayan, who looked set to be a wide margin winner over hurdles when last seen on good ground and if he jumps well today perhaps he can try to skip clear. Again though, penny stakes.

Welcome to the Triumph 'Doh'-ometer. Big fat juicy 5/5 for Minsk.

    Minsk <doh><doh><doh><doh><doh>
    Dildar <doh><doh><doh>
    Une Artiste <doh>
    Sadler's Risk <doh>

None of the above named will win the Triumph I wouldn't have thought, and I doubt Baby Mix will either. Grumeti and Balder Succes for Alan King, plus Pearl Swan for Nicholls look the best contenders as things stand.

Hunt Ball - What an animal. Deserves to win at Cheltenham that. Fantastic effort from Kieren Burke.

Hunt Ball will be interesting if he goes to Cheltenham. I wonder if he has entries or will need supplementing somewhere - you can't compare him to GC but he has never stopped improving.

Definitely not to be ignored <ok>

What an interview with his owner. THIS is what makes the sport so good - the smaller owner can still live the dream along with the power players <applause>

Time for alcohol Oddy? What you having today? Back on the Warmeister (spelling)? I have ales today - Marston's Pedigree :)

Anyone like Cappone here for Scott Dixon to upset the big 2 in the market at Lingfield?

Not looking at Lingfield Toppy - too much good jumps action to bother with that.

Spiekeroog looks thrown in at Newcastle - beat Bourne a head last time out and that one won the big handicap at Ascot last weekend <ok>

Sporting Life shows Dougie Costello claiming 5 in this - that must be a mistake surely?

Spiekeroog fecking rubbish - McCain yard must've been very subtle for Bourne to get beat by a donkey like that <laugh>

Very nice performance from Palawi under hands and heels up the run-in

Hunt Ball has a very similar profile to Dun Doire who Tony Martin won the NH h'cap chase at the festival with a few years ago.
