Bobs Worth, Tidal Bay and Silviniaco Conti the first three home in the betfair chase. I think Bobs Worth is a good price right now but Tidal Bay e/w has to be the bet. His Lexus win last year is the best form in the race minus the gold cup and with slight doubts over how effective Bobs Worth will be around Haydock i think its the way to go today.

Personally id be laying Dynaste for a place all day. We all know how overrated Grands Crus turned out to be and im not convinced that Dynaste is top class which he will need to be to get a place today

Sorry to upset you I'm just not convinced that's all I thought last years gold cup 7 lengths flattered him I thought SC had him if not for the blunder. Just my opinion that's all. I could get proved wrong today and I'll hold my hands up if that's the case

Right, as im off to Haydock in a couple of minutes I will put up what im thinking of now... It may change when I get there, but I don't tend to change my mind, too many should haves and maybes...

12.10 - Honour System... Looks a toughie for the first race today...
12.45 - Rolling Star... Hoping for a bit of improvement from ole Nicky with this one, but another close call race...
1.15 - Our Island... Another race where many could go in but Our Island ran well on his last appearance here, so he gets the vote...
1.50 - Blue Fashion... No real reason other than a Geraghty/Hendo combo really...
2.25 - Master Of The Sea... Again any one of 5-8 could take this but ive gone with the Twisters here...
3.00 - Bobs Worth... SAY NO MORE...
3.35 - Relax... I could pick any of the top 5 in the market and im still open to change here, but Relax gets my early vote...

Enjoy the sporting day folks as there is a lot on today... Hopefully I will get a few pictures and get them on the site if I can... Cheers...<cheers>

Have a great day red, hope you land a few winners mate <ok>

The Betfair Chase alone is worth the entrance money today.

    Morning lads :)

Disappointing to see the Amlin down to 2 runners, but pleasing to see that the Betfair Chase has a full compliment. We seem to be talking about this race atm, so for me - as posted earlier - it's Bob for the win with Roi Du Mee hanging on for a place at a tasty 20-1 plus the rfc.

The SSC comp needs just two player's selections - Steveo who is defending Percy's challenge and Bob who needs to make a challenge to Cats. Cats has already posted his defender just to make things easier for you Bob - and as you are meant to have first pick, you could play the ultimate gamesmanship and choose the same horse - he would then have to pick another, if he sees it in time! But I know you are far too sporting for such tactics ........ <devil>

hehe .... you just got a bit over excited Cats <laugh> ............ you never know, Bob may be a no-show. And I'm sure he wouldn't go for MOTS, would he?

Cut off is before the first race at Haydock - so 10 minutes and counting!

Happy Saturday folks. What a day we have in store a few top horses out today and a few others to be toppled at skinny prices.

I am a massive Zarkander fan and had him for the champion hurdle last year, a solid 4th and then he went up to todays trip over C+D and gave a beating to the champion in waiting The New One with no hard luck stories involved. Annie Power has obviously impressed over the water the best being the race she beat Defy Logic + Don Cossack however this is 1 of the top hurdlers of the past 2 years she is up against and even with the massive weight she is receiving i cant see past Zarkander and i think the price looks superb.

Clondaw Kaempfer went off against the very exciting Taquin De Seuil in a grade 1 and travelled sweetly throughout but made a huge mistake 3 out and was pulled up straight away. Back from injury he is entered into a handicap today which i am surprised about as he has looked more than capable of graded company. Perhaps the McCains are trying to exploit the low mark after injury. Very interesting runner and 1 who i think could win this on the bridle if fully wound up.

Fantastic match up between Far West and Rolling Star today. I am siding with Rolling Star today off these level weights and soft ground.

    Utopie Des Bordes
is back up to 3miles today, the only defeat at 3miles was to the World Hurdle winner in waiting At Fishers Cross and once again should run a very solid race at a decent price. I am surprised they havent switched to chasing yet as she would be a very interesting runner for the RSA.

Just had another look at the gold cup and Bobs Worth was just immense, no questions. I think if Davy Russell was on board SDC it could have been a much tighter finish(previous knowledge of the horse, AP is the champ but it was his first time on board). Cue card wont stay the trip against these lot and should be kept at 2 and a half miles all season in my opinion. Dynaste is a very talented horse and shouldnt have been entered in the Jewson, should have gone in the RSA which he would have won in a canter. He is very unexposed being the only 2nd season chaser in the line up and i will be having a saver bet on him today given he has won at this course and also likes the distance too.

    Al Ferof
will win this easy but how disappointing for it be down to 2 runners, especially when you would receive £5000 for finishing in 3rd.
