I guess they wouldn’t have wished for a comeback race like that for Masar - nearly unshipped the Jockey at the start (and may have tweaked something?) then forced very wide on the bend and bumped by the winner. If he were mine I’d look to get another run hin to him some time in July with a view to going to York for the Juddmonte International.

I can see where you are coming from with the drop to ten furlongs, but that is the one category that looks quite crowded so I can still see him coming back to Ascot at the end of July unless they want a quick turnaround and go to the Eclipse. Whichever way I look at it at the moment, if Enable returns as good as ever she is the best horse around given that none of the three year olds appear to be anything out of the ordinary.

Great effort there from Dream Of Dreams in second – cannot believe I was tipped that one when it got beaten on the sand at Newcastle – but was Blue Point emptying at the end or just tired from two races in a week? He looked like he was going to win by a big margin a furlong out when he went to the front.

Fine effort from Blue Point to win the 2 races in a week. Give him a rest then go for the Nunthorpe?

HEY JONESY normally keeps better company, and though he fell a bit short in his recent assignments,he wasnt disgraced behind the likes of invincible army last time out.the only problem might be,that hes not the only one that likes to lead,in this field, but if he gets the breaks today, should be competitive here..good e w shout.

Dream of Dreams came from way back. Very unlucky but glad Blue Point won. Must make Hey Jonesy a good bet later

I am in a pub that has a dozen TV screens, sat watching Afghanistan v India in what could be the biggest World Cup upset ever and the racing on another and one of the bar staff has just come along and switched every TV to the Sky channel that will be showing the Catalans v Hull FC game in 20 minutes time. :emoticon-0121-angry

The thing is that half the punters in here are Hull KR fans, so they will be cheering for Catalans! I could understand it being on every screen if the place was full of rugby fans but it is not a third full and the two couples on the table behind me were watching the racing too.

VALENTINO DANCER has a good profile here,in that hes less exposed than most, and his second last time out was boosted by the winner next time out.so,good chance.

First time this week that I haven’t gone for Ryan Moore in the last - will probably regret it!

I cannot say that I would be watching either of them – obviously Murray not playing. <laugh>

Why in the female form of football do they not have “woman of the match”? The PC brigade insist on calling it “player of the match” – the same with the England women’s cricket last night. <doh>

They would not put the cricket back on because I was the only one watching it whereas six of us were watching Royal Ascot!

Terrible really how cricket has become a non sport in this country. I don’t think anyone under 25 has ever watched it, certainly there is no interest amongst the younger generation. All down to the ECB accepting the SKY deal.
