I am staggered at the lack of runners for a very lucrative card at Haydock today. All too often we hear trainers bleating about a lack of prize money then you three turn up for a 21 grand novices hurdle. The racecourse executive must be tearing their hair out! Ah well we neednt worry as the new man at the BHA will sort out our wonderful sport!!! No offence CYC but surely we didnt need to go to the depths of imploying a blooming immigrant! Where is the talent in this country these days? Not managing our football team, not managing our cricket team and now not running our Horse Racing...it's all a joke! Rant over!
Stick, nice to see you finally make it here mate. As for employing an immigrant, maybe it's about time someone who knows their beans got the nod. You locals have run your sport into the ground.

Afternoon, another down pour at Liverpool is going to make the ground even more testing at Haydock. With this in mind going for Oscar Gogo in the 330, although improvement needed should go well on the ground. Currently 12/1 so looking at a good e/w bet. Good luck everyone with there selections today
E/w L15s for me today: W1.35 Johns Spirit 11/2 W3.20 Autumn Spirit 12/1 A2.05 Cloudy Spirit 10/1 A3.45 All for Free 7/1 W1.35 Bathwick Brave 13/2 W4.25 Waterunder 12/1 A1.00 Oldrik 7/1 A2.35 Joseph Lister 13/2 Interesting that Pipe and Bathwick owners have just the 2 at Bathwick sponsored Wincanton today - Small e/w double in addition to L15 Good luck all.
Did it well enough but ............... a big field on spring ground at Cheltenham will be very different to that. Not without a chance I just don't think we have learnt anything more about him today.
2.05 Ascot - (NAP) KENTFORD GREY LADY Hardly a shocking pick but cannot see beyond her in this, Currently 11/8 so not much value but her second run this year at Newbury she hacked up and some of the horses behind have franked the form winning by quite a distance in there starts after, She beat some decent animals where she stormed home at Kempton the day after Boxing Day, Violin Davis in the race today being one of them behind her on the day... 3.10 Ascot - AL FEROF I really like this horse and like Paul Nicholls as said he might aswell gain valuable expierience for Cheltenham in an £100,000 race rather than a novice chase for £20,000. He's obviously well thought of down at Ditcheat and he seems to have took to fences like a duck to water, Hes very brave but very slick over his fences hes proved that at Cheltenham and Sandown which are tough tracks to start a novice campaign but he came out of them very well, He's got abit of toe aswell as showed in the Supreme where the horses behind are clearly no second rate animals. I'd rather take the 7/2 about Al Ferof than the 5/2 Finians Rainbow who I just can't be having, His form is hardly setting the world alight and I think hes very much beatable. It took a masteful ride from Barry Geraghty to get him back up to win at Kempton and any mistakes today will be punished I feel. Somersby is always there or there abouts but I don't think hes quick enough at 2 miles and I just can't see anything else in the race I'd fancy on the day so I'll be sticking with Al Ferof to continue a good novice campaign. 3.45 Ascot - IMSINGINGTHEBLUES E/W Always liked this horse and always gives his all, Top weight today and not getting any younger but his last run at Cheltenham in the Spinal Research proved he's capable of a big run every so often. I'll be having a little dabble each way at 14/1 currently...
Also backed Finian's Rainbow at 5/2 with the Victor Chandler Offer - £25 free bet if you stake £25. Bet to nothing and I think 5/2 is fair because he has the most potential at this trip of anything in the field. Also backed Celestial Halo at 8/11 with the Stan James Offer - £10 money back if you bet £10. Not going to make me rich but I can't see him being beat and these offers must be taken up.
Basseterre won well enough and is apparently entered in the Derby. I'd be looking for a price about him winning the 2017 Grand National
