Welcome Chan, I hope you enjoy the experience here, nice friendly bunch. Hope you get among 'em today.
Welcome Chanin and all others who I haven't welcomed. Hope the forum treats you well and hopefully you are as successful on here as many of the others are (like the mighty Oddy and Swanhills). To those who are interested in reading my views for my four bets, they are on the blog. Good luck all, and don't forget VC Chase offer with BetVictor.
Also, question to the esteemed members - Are you surprised that Pricewise has put up Gauvain today after he put Wishfull Thinking up for the QMCC?
I wondered that too Nass but he does take each race on its own merits and clearly thinks Gauvain offers the better value today. Not sure I agree tbh although I can't for the life of me see how Wishfull Thinking can reverse form with Finian's Rainbow today. I think e/w Gauvain is the percentage call today it really does look like the archetypal "bet to nothing" assuming all 8 line up
Morning all, new to this forum having found Fugees has been closed down without warning, those considerate people at Socialgo Was DannyBoy on Fugees and although an infrequent poster I hope to get involved more with this forum this year - kids n work allowing! Anyway my selection for today is in the Peter Marsh and is Mon Mome 7/1 - Williams having a cracking run of form, the horse likes the ground, has had a recent freshen up run and with Coleman up top I think this could be its day.. here's hoping Good luck all with your selections today fellas
Morning all, and welcome to more Newbies Great days racing today but very tricky, more for watching and taking notes than gambling. A couple that have caught the eye are: Hectors Choice could go well at a nice price. Somersby must be the EW bet to nothing in a great VC Chase where it is going to be very interesting to see how Al Ferof runs. In the Peter Marsh i have taken an EW chance on an improver at a price who will love the ground unlike many others: Oscar Gogo although he does have to improve lots. Be lucky all who have a punt
Hello all on a v warm and cramped bus to ascot via reading... Few fancies today... Oldrick, Kentford Grey Lady, Shoreacres & A bridge to far. Finians rainbow, Zaynar Also think ALBEN Star 3:00 Long can win and notch a few wins on bounce ! Good luck all
Morning all, Am off to Haydock today. Must say there are a few races that don't represent value from a betting point of view but thankfully there is the 2:20 and 3:30 to get stuck into! My fancies are: 2:20 Tippering 11/2. In good form, loves the course and going. Should be in the mix. 3:30 The Sawyer 7/1. His time of year will handle the ground and hopefully be allowed to dictate. Good luck to all.
Welcome Chan, hope you enjoy the forum. Nass: Good morning and thanks, but I ain't too successful unfortunately - but Oddy certainly is. You've hit a few damn good high-priced winners lately, keep it up! It keeps RV on his toes when you are in-form too!....................... please log in to view this image Selection, with great trepidation: 15:10 Ascot - Somersby (will bet only if I can get a half-decent price). (Airy-fairy reasoning on OddDog's thread on the race!). GL today everyone and every success with your wagers!
Morning all Swanny Another bet for me today TRIOLO D'ALENE Gerraghtys blog has put me on this one. Iâm very hopeful of my opening ride, TRIOLO DâALENE (1.00) in the Rosling King Novices' Handicap Chase. I havenât ridden him at home but thatâs no big surprise as there are so many potentially smart horses around Seven Barrows and I hear that this could be one. The latest of his two novice chase wins came in France in late November and heâs shown in all his outings that he handles soft ground and stays two and a quarter miles well so thereâs no worries in my mind about this trip. The debut mark of 127 might not be too bad but the most encouraging thing is that Iâve been getting all the right vibes and the boss likes him â thatâs good enough for me. off out for a couple of hours hopefully back for the racing.
Connections tell me that a big is expected today from TULLAMORE DEW 16-1 3.45 Ascot and looking through the form book its not hard to see why. Chased home Divers in the Centenary Novice at the Festival last year when splitting Quantatitiveeasing and Vino Griego. Thats pretty smart form and he is now 2lb lower. That was over a trip that I think was slightly inadequate (stayed on well). Conditions should be pretty near perfect today. They have been trying him in decent company over a range of distances and consequently he has slipped to this very attractive mark. He looks worth a speculative punt. Chaninbar, as a Sheena West fan you should take a look at BE ALL MAN in the last at Ascot. By race time its quite possible that Joseph Lister may have paid this one a big compliment. I know the yard think the step up in trip will suit and I dont believe he will be ridden quite so handy today. Certainly worth a second look. ;-)
NAP today is All For Free in the 3.45 Ascot. Outpaced the whole way over 2m at Sandown last time and the step up to 2m5f looks sure to suit. 7/1 EW looks very good indeed. Double it up with Mikael D'Haguenet for a price boost.
Morning - well, afternoon, all, and welcome Dan, Chan and other newbies With you about All For Free Zen, looks absolutely made for this I also agree with Ollie about Tippering - this is his time, he won't mind the Haydock mud and he has been knocking on the door recently. I think he opens it today
