Don't believe that at all he went past CDA like he wasn't there tired after start and on that ground but on good ground that was 5+ without doubt
Can someone give me a few lines about how the race panned out? I'm out in Kenya and can't see it. Thanks guys.
He's just the best. He walked past a soft ground specialist in Cirrus Des Aigles who made him work. Great race, A great horse...
Frankel blew the start and lost 2-3 lengths on the field. Bullet Train initially went on but then waited for Frankel - CdA went on from the mile post with Nathanial tracking him and Frankel settled midfield. Coming off the final bend CdA and Nathaniel went for home, Frankel cruised up on the outside on the bit, took the lead at the furlong pole and ridden out to win. CdA second ran a terriffic race.
Knew he would only win a couple of lengths but that is Frankel 1 Heavy Ground 0. Being a gelding, Cirrus Des Aigles will be back next year and it will probably take a very good three-year-old to lower his colours. There will only be half as many people in the stands but the ground will still be slow. Note to RFC – meeting should be in September, it is downhill from here.
You would have thought that on the last BBC day of horse racing that they could have at least shown the presentation!
No point eulogising about Frankel,we all know how good he is.But i dont think anyone realised what a machine CDA is.
In fact once Frankel got alongside Bullet Train BT went on again and led them into the final bend. As they came out of the final bend, CdA and Nathaniel went for it, clearly looking to find any chink that might be in Frankel's armour. etc etc.
